A Culinary Gem in Taunton - Don't Miss Podshavers! I usually don't do reviews, but after our fantastic Friday night at Podshavers Restaurant, I couldn't help but share this incredible find with everyone. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the owner, Jenny, the chef and the service team. The menu at Podshavers is intentionally small, but this is precisely what ensures you get the best experience, whether you're a fish, meat, or vegetarian lover. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavors, colors, and textures. We all had appetizers and the presentation by the chef was exceptional. Two of us indulged in a perfectly cooked chateaubriand and my husband had the fish – all of which tasted scrumptious. The Cheesecake and Baked Alaska were positively delicious and what truly touched our hearts was the incredible gesture they made when they learned it was my birthday. Jenny and her team went out of their way to create a special dessert just for me, making the evening even more unforgettable. Podshavers Restaurant is a must-visit gem in Taunton! We had a delicious meal at Podshavers last night! It was the first time we’d been and we will definitely try and come back on our next visit to Somerset! We had scallops and a caprese salad for starters, duck breast with blueberry jus and halibut for mains, and for dessert, baked Alaska and English strawberries poached in red wine. Highly recommend this place - especially if you have a special occasion to celebrate!

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch. We all tried something different but we all made the same mmmm's as we tucked in to the delicious food. The puddings were also excellent and I fully recommend the crumble! Lovely team of people made for a very enjoyable lunch. We are already planning our return to try the other options!
