Unfortunately we arrived just as the kitchen was about to shut. However the barman was very helpful and the chef was happy to provide our meals of scampi and chips and cod and chips. They were both excellent, the best fish and chips we have eaten in a long time. The beer was good too! How lucky to have such a welcoming friendly pub in Fivehead. Thanks
A lovely old village pub. Friendly staff serving good beer and simple food nicely cooked. Glad to have found it. Will find an excuse to go again.
Just round the corner from the AirBNB we stayed at. Visited on three nights of our stay for dinner. Each night the food we had was excellent, cooked to perfection and served with a smile!! The atmosphere was welcoming on each visit and kept us wanting to go back!! We wished there was a pub like this where we live!!!
Nice local pub with good menu and tasty food. We got there 10 minutes after the kitchen had closed but they still accommodated us and we had a nice meal! Reasonably priced and very friendly staff as well!
Superb!!!! The food was absolutely fantastic and service excellent 👏 a little hidden gem 💎 only little down side and only tiny prob was no apple sauce with roast pork but plenty of pork scratchings 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼but the gravy was excellent 😋

Felt very welcome at this pub - we converged in a large group on a Tuesday night and were made to feel very welcome - ordered chips and drinks all served quickly and gladly. Definitely re-visiting this pub.
The crown inn is a beautiful pub with amazing landlords who are so welcoming and happy to help with any query you may have, the food is spectacular and up to a high standard quality and presentation is the best ive ever had in a local pub , the village where the crown is located is gorgoues, i sat in the beer garden and i could have stayed there all day so peaceful with a friendly atmosphere couldn’t recommend enough if your near fivehead its worth a visit i will be returning regularly, thank you so much Del and Ant for our time at the crown inn :)
It's our local, but once again, the food was spot on. Brie wedges and garlic mushrooms for starters and we both had lasagne for main. Really tasty and fast service too.
Came for Sunday lunch with all the family. 6 adults and 3 children . They catered brilliantly for all our dietary requirements and we had a very enjoyable well cooked meal . Excellent service.
