Best roast I've had in so long! Me and my partner have been exploring pubs in the south west and this is the best we've come across so far!! Despite the fact their restaurant was jam packed and the staff were clearly super busy they were still attentive and in good spirits!! We will definitely be returning

We went as a group of 14 for a 60th birthday meal, The food was superb, the staff were fantastic and attentive. Food came out all together and portions were good. Bar staff recommended some ale which went down a treat with my partner :)

Brilliant food, friendly staff. We were served by Andy, Matthew and Eddie. I like my bacon crispy but it's suprising how many places get this wrong. Not here! Andy took my order of bacon and cheese burger (with crispy bacon) and it arrived exactly as ordered. Very good burger, didn't taste like a cheap frozen burger, tasted freshly prepared that day. Eddie brought the food out and was very nice. Matthew refreshed my drinks and was very friendly although I did notice that damp "I left my wet clothes in the washing machine" smell when he was nearby which is unpleasant in a restaurant food location. (you might have gone nose blind to it Matthew, everyone else has not) Apart from that minor niggle which is very easily resolved, this was a good experience. If I could offer any feedback to improve, it would be attention to detail is important. The automated booking service took my notes that I requested a table with lots of light, however when we got there, this wasn't mentioned and we were initially shown to a dark table until I requested it again. What's the point of taking notes if they are ignored? There was also a small miscommunication between the staff that meant I was brought my 2nd drink twice. Now in fairness, they did make this 3rd drink complimentary to the customer which was lovely but again some attention from to detail from the staff would have avoided having to give away a free drink on a 2 person main meal only. That's got to affect your margins. Andy was excellent, friendly, professional, and came across like he really cared about his customers. Fantastic front of house material. Well done.

Lady clare cannell … Visit today Sunday 10th Sept 12..30 with my mum …one gentleman in particular so very polite and caring and 100%customer service ..today we had mix fish grill 100% enjoyed very much as I’m a keen fish eater ♥️very clean and lovely atmosphere.. I love fish and managed on every visit to choose a fish dish ..keep up the good work Team we will be back ♥️

Three of us out for an early evening meal,the welcome was rather grumpy took ages to get our drinks but the food was great I had the steak and ale pie with mash (EXCELLENT) .I ordered the pancakes for dessert only to be told they had run out, how long does it take to make a batter mix.

Called in for a meal without booking. Without to much fuss we were shown to a table.
I had three burger my wife the Hake special.
Both of which were very good as was the quick, efficient and friendly service.
Would be happy to re visit.

Not busy in early afternoon, however service was wanting. Drinks too an age, and they didn't have the streak pie. Thankfully food was hot and reasonable.

Our new local pub, and it serves beautiful food like this... we couldn't be happier.

Lovely pub and very busy. Only have limited indoor seating for dogs, and we’re lucky to get a table despite pre-booking. Food was lovely with reasonable portions. The room was very warm with no opening windows, so we moved outside once we finished our food.
