One One Four

Excellent. Food was imaginative, original, and best of all tasted great! Superb service throughout from all the staff, and a really nice atmosphere. No stuffiness at all, yet sophisticated ambience and presentation. EDIT: had the chance to revisit a week later with a different group of colleagues. Happy to report everything was just as good. Bit of a delay with the main course, but the way the manager resolved it and reduced our bill, unprompted, was great!

I liked this restaurant. It appears very popular and was full for most of the evening. The menu is set with a fixed price for two or three courses, the choices are limited to three items per course. This type of menu is challenging as I will expect each course to be excellent; they lived up to and on the pork belly surpassed my expectations. There are some nice touches to the dining experience, the serving of a complimentary cocktail upon arrival and an amuse-bouche before the first course was a welcomed by all. The service was excellent, the waiters were always on hand and not intrusive. I won't bore you with details of our sumptuous meal, it's something that can't be described, only experienced. If you like red wine, they serve a rather tasty valpolicella ripasso.

WOW!!! Absolutely wow... the staff are brilliant, the food is incredible (seasonal and locally sourced). Don't waste your time going in to London Central when you can dine locally in Teddington. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Absolutely perfect in every way.. thank you we will be back... soon!!!

Went for our wedding anniversary. Warmly greeted and at our table, had a card from the restaurant wishing us a happy anniversary! Food is set menu. Appertifs, amouse bouche were outstanding. As the menu does change I won’t go into what specifically we ate, but it was outstanding! Finished it off with some lovely Rose and a surprise anniversary dessert - courtesy of the house. 114 is a class act. Long may it continue to be the best restaurant on the High Street. Congrats and keep it going.

This place is simply the best. At time of writing it's around 45 pounds for three courses. Same price as the rubbish chain restaurants pretty much. However, the food is almost Michelin star quality. The service is amazing, cocktails and drinks fab and all in a relaxed ambience. I hope they never try and go Michelin as I'm not sure it would be the same and I don't think that's their ambition. Such a great place!

Having lived in Teddington for a while, we for some reason put off going to one one four, and boy did we wish we hadn’t waited. The whole team go over and above to make every visit special, for everyone. There’s a real care and sense of responsibility that means whether it’s the balance of the cocktail or presentation of a plate, nothing goes without love. I’ve now been to one one four a good few times, and can safely say I’ve never eaten anything that didn’t taste sublime. With a constantly varying menu, it means there’s always something you can find you like – and a particular shout out to the team for always making the vegetarian option tasty and filling, rather than an afterthought bolted onto a meat based menu, which means that in our case with one veggie and one not, both of us can enjoy eating out. Unlike some other reviews, I’d strongly disagree on value, and say that pound for pound, One one four delivers over and above it’s price point. Having worked round the world I’ve had my fair share of ‘fancy NYC/Mayfair’ dining, and I’d take one one four every time. Seasonal, well put together ingredients, with a bit of (and not too much) jazz to make it exciting mean you’re going to have a locally owned, cared for place to eat in modern surroundings that still manage to feel intimate despite a decent amount of covers. I’d strongly recommend getting a taxi to eat here, as the cocktail menu never lets you stop with just one, and the Bone Idyll ‘sister’ distillery provides a constantly changing choice of great things to drink.

What to say about 114, well lots start with the warm welcome upon arrival and then lets talk about the excellent front of house team on my visit, to which I can only say a seamless standard of service around taking orders for food and drinks and subsequent service of food to the tables (love the fish on a bike T-Shirts too). The food was super, i enjoyed the Trout as a first course and the pumpkin risotto to follow, this was my first visit, I will be back, and I will try other things from the attractive menu choices .
