Great local restaurant in Teddington.
Family run restaurant past 30 years. A little gem. Superb outside garden area in the Summer. I have been going to Shambles for many years with friends on different occasions. A great place for just drinks or breakfast, lunch or dinner. Always excellent real Italian food.
Being Vegetarian I had enough choice to please me but if I have any request than the head chef Massimo will make me good selection of vegetarian dish. Always delicious food. Some excellent selection of wines. My favourite dish is in starters courgette curls, chef special simple spaghetti with olive oil, garlic & chilli without any sauce as main dish and they have the best selection of deserts but the most delicious is honey comb yogurt form with pistachio. Excellent service, great friendly staff.
It is my one of the favourite Italian restaurant in Teddington. I Will highly recommend.
Handled our large group very well. Fast service with a very handsome smile. Everyone enjoyed their food. I personally had the lobster which they managed to do with gluten or dairy (as I'm a pain). Highly recommend the dirty martinis 🍸 This is my third visit this year.
Fantastic local, family run restaurant. Service is always with a smile and they bend over backwards to make it a great lunch or dinner. Especially good in summer when you can sit in the vibe coveted garden and have a game of boules whilst you're waiting between courses. Also being an Italian family they are so friendly and accommodating whether you're with kids or without.
Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff, great atmosphere. Beautiful patio area at the back for dining under a pergola. Really appreciate allowing the gentle hum of conversation provide the atmosphere rather than feeling the need to provide background music in this area.
Great range of food and veggie and gluten free included, set menu for 2 or 3 courses lovely food would defo be back again. Loved the tiramisu
Special lunch to celebrate a birthday. It was pouring with rain so we couldn't eat in the pretty garden but at least managed to sit in the covered area near the garden. Food was delicious and service excellent. Tiramisu was worth every calorie! Sea bream, clam chowder and sautéed tiger prawns were all great.
Delicious and quality food with generous portion. Came here on a weekday for lunch with a friend, sat on the sunny patio surrounded by greenery. A delightful experience. Would come again for sure.
Half Italian restaurant half wine bar - good combination. Great choice of wines, nicely prepared food, open fire, liked it a lot.
We had the pleasure of experiencing the Seafood Extravaganza organised in collaboration with Sandys the Twickenham Fishmonger. We were greeted by the delightful hostess, the daughter of the founders of the restaurant, and shown to our seats in rhe garden. We were instantly given menus by a delightful waitress and knowing the wine list ordered a bottle of Lugana. From then on everything went as it should, each course was served perfectly and with attention. Meal over, the waitresses's attention was now on the new guests arriving for the extravaganza and we found it difficult to attract the attention of anyone to get another drink. But that was our only complaint, and we left happy.
We went for my birthday with a group of 13 friends and it was lovely. A really special night, which isn't always easy with such a big group.
One friend said she found her main course bland, but I had the same thing and thought it was lovely!
Love shambles!!!! Skip the antipasti and go right to primi secondi. It’s too hard to pass up any of the pasta!!!

The service was great, friendly but not slimy, very helpful and informative.
A lovely place with lots of nooks and different areas so you don't feel crowded.
The desserts where OUTSTANDING.
We happened in by accident when looking for a lunch spot and were delightfully surprised by the vast gardens in the back under the wisteria. The food was superb and we will definitely be coming back. The tagliolini with summer truffles was a standout dish.
