We stumbled across this place whilst waiting for works to be done on our car. What a pleasure, lovely food, really reasonably priced, nice friendly staff and good selection of gins. Would recommend 😊

This is a proper community pub of the variety that are becoming increasingly rare. Fish & Chip Friday was great, would definitely recommend it. We've also tried the pizza and it was amazing!

Great welcome, very well looked after, friendly staff and lunch exceptional value. Visiting Telford hospital this pub is 5 min drive or 15 min walk. Recommended.

Friendly pub serving the local community. Robust, simple homecooked lunches on weekdays, no food at weekend. New pizza menu available as of Spring 2023. Their beer is well kept - Wainwright, Banks Bitter and a cask of Pedigree goes on on a Thursday.
Log fire in the winter, small beer garden in the summer and meat raffle on a Friday. A lovely local.

Having just move to this part of Telford its great to have friendly traditional pub which as live entertainment most weekends.

Lovely homely pub, great selection of drinks. Home-cooked food on weekday lunchtimes. Friendly staff, regular entertainment nights and a weekly quiz on Tuesdays.

Friendly, welcoming, community pub selling excellent cask ale, as well as a large selection of other lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Food at lunch time is top quality and great value for money. The highlight is always a Tuesday night though for the legendary pub quiz hosted by landlord Brad.

It's often too easy to not review your own regular haunts because of their familiarity. The Malt Shovel is quite simply a fabulous wee pub. Lunchtime sees great quality pub grub. Nothing fancy but always good. And you'd have to travel many miles to find a better pint.

Delicious food, never disappointed with our meal. Friday - Fish and home cooked chips best ever! 😋 Brad and Marg, are always very welcoming.

Friendly staff here that make you feel valued as a customer. They remember what your usual tipple is and the effort the landlady went to with my gin is very much appreciated. Nice selection of bar snacks and nice well kept outdoor seating area
