Bowring Park Cafe

As with most good small food outlets its very popular and most times there is a queue. Council intervention on the road through protocol has somewhat pushed customers round the side and it's lost a lot of its seating and charm as a consequence. Traffic calming measures might have been a better option than take away the tables on the lawn?

This is a stopping place on one of our regular morning walks. Soon we'll be able to sit inside a purpose built seating area and enjoy the excellent (and generous) portions of food and drink served by the always cheerful people who work at this café. The place is geared towards walkers and dog walkers to the extent that if there are any sausages left over from the previous day, they will be wrapped in foil and left on the counter for dog owning customers to give one to their pet while the enjoy an excellent meal themselves.

Just to say what everyone else is saying..what a fantastic place this is! So nice to be able to walk the dogs in a decent green space with a great backdrop of The Ercall and then have a good cup of coffee and a sausage butty, (veggie in my wife's case and she was impressed too) made with proper bread. Just moved to the area and plan to make this a regular excursion from Madeley, a little high point of our week! Excellent.
