Top notch service. The waiter was very patient with my husband and I, who had less than desirable chop stick skills and even showed us the most effective way to use them! The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and the ambience was delightful. There are lots of vegan options and choices other than sushi, too. Quiet and personal.I absolutely love it and will go again.

Stopped for a quick lunch on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised, never been here before but the menu looked good. The service was excellent and the food was delivered quickly, we were the only ones in the restaurant tho probably due to the food stalls directly outside! fresh and tasty platter to share and Pad Thai! definitely worth a visit and reasonably priced sides & mains, overall very good

Beautiful food made freshly with super fresh ingredients! The staff were attentive, polite and happy. Even spotted the chef having a little dance....Great to see people happy in their work. The meal was really beautiful! Great to have an independent restaurant on Southwater instead of another chain! Will be back again soon! Thank you 😊

Great service, really attentive friendly staff. Food was lovely but we couldn't order from the Japanese menu which sadly, was the reason we had gone in there to celebrate our daughters birthday. She loves Japanese food and she left feeling a little frustrated. Otherwise, nice restaurant with a great menu (providing you're not restricted on what you can order).

We came from St Albans, the first time having dinner here. Flying Elephant is good. All Staff are professional and friendly. We appreciate the sushi chef, he is nice and professional. We like the food he recommended. Sushi is very yummy.

Amazing and friendly service! The food was delicious - best pad thai prawns ever! The bankgog style pepper and salt squid was something new for us and we really liked it! Disappointed a bit for the thai basil stir fried beef - not too much beef for 12£ value. It was very tasty, but the peppers and onions were uncooked.

We visited on Friday evening after hearing a good review from a friend of a friend. Wasn't at all sure what to expect as from outside it doesn't look particularly inviting. Inside is clean and modern and I think was probably the interior from the previous restaurant. We were met by a gentleman (who we later found out was the owner) who was friendly attentive and accommodating. The menu was pan asian but was a little confusing if like me you like a full description of what you are ordering. My Husband settled for a set sushi meal, I had the Thai green curry and my son the vegetarian sushi option along with 2 servings of Gyosa. Not all the food came at the same time, waiting a little longer for the curry. However we had a great seat, we chatted to the staff all of whom were exceptionally attentive apologising profusely for any delays. Our waitress also introduced herself as joint owner and it was evident throughout the evening this was a new family business. Many of the staff seemed new and my only criticism is that the waiting staff seemed a little disorganised. However that did not detract from a wonderful evening. Everyone we spoke to was unfailingly polite and helpful...would we visit again definitely!! And the food? Was absolutely delicious the thai green curry was to die for and the sushi so fresh and pretty....as the owner said to us on departing but the food is good yes....and yes we have to agree!! Really hope this is a successful venture and something very different from the usual the pasta, pizza places in town.

Absolutely amazing good service. Nam took great care of us during the visit. The food was authentic and rich in flavour. She was enthusiastic and made good recommendations for us in terms of what to get. She is a credit to the company.
