Wow!!!! Everything was faultless!!! Staff very professional & friendly. Extremely knowledgeable on the food & wine being served. I had the vegetarian tasting menu which was spectacular. I never knew carrot could taste so good! My partner had the meat tasting menu which he said was incredible. We watched the kitchen staff THOROUGHLY clean the kitchen after service - you could've performed an operation in there afterwards - spotless. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Pensons.
Absolutely beautiful experience here for our friend's special birthday. Great welcome, exquisite food, very professional and friendly service. Good to view the kitchen garden afterwards. Definitely worth the journey through narrow country lanes!
Wow, an full experience both with the fantastic meny and wonderful taste in all lunch meny. The wine painting was just perfect with an amazing Domaine Trigant de Boisset 2006 for the duck. Sommelier was very knowledgeble and kind but everybody treat us so good. We also loved to stroll in the real garden to see were the food come from.
Brilliant birthday celebration at lunchtime on the weekend. Just perfect and we were upstairs so had the use of the balcony in the sun. Food was sublime and the sommelier needs a medal for excellent wine pairing, very clever indeed. Brill was the best fish dish I've had in years....
Everything was so amazing, it’s so worth the trip. Food was out of this world, I feel like a kid opening presents every time the food was being served. Pairing wine was such a good idea , flavours playing in my mouth and it was just heaven. Service was absolutely superb! Learned so much from the Sommelier, he is very good. We just wished that we stayed over so we could enjoy the wine and the place more as it looks so relaxing. Definitely coming back.

From start to finish outstanding! For context - we stayed overnight for our anniversary! The welcome was lovely - we were greeted by a lovely lady who was incredibly enthusiastic who showed us to our room where we were greeted with a personal message wishing us a happy anniversary. The room was beautiful. It opens up straight onto the courts yard. The shower is immense and I am going to email to find out where they buy their beds as soon as I have finished their review. The drinks were beautiful and a nice range. Highly recommend the cocktails. We had the 5 course taster menu with the wine flight. Would highly recommend the wine flight with your meal as complimented the food perfectly and the insight from the sommelier was really educational and added to the experience massively. Every course was sensational! After a fantastic night sleep we had the best breakfast with the best service. Nothing was too much trouble. Would totally recommend and we will be returning later in the year.
Gorgeous restaurant in what I think must be an old, tastefully converted barn. The food was outstanding & the service informal & friendly but spot on. We wanted a fabulous relaxed lunch so that we could catch up with friends & that’s just what we got. Already plotting our next visit so see you soon Pensons!
