It's "Treat Day Thursday" I get weighed every Thursday and then have a lunch out with my Hubby, today we chose The Fat Seagull, from the warm welcome, to the lovely waitress who had only been there a week (you're doing a great job) the beautiful decor, and a wonderful menu, I chose the homemade lasagne and rustic chips, no need for salt and vinegar, they where to die for, crispy and moreish, and the lasagne was light and tasty, Hubby chose the fried chicken and demolished it, we went for it and ordered the cherry and sultana scone, that came warm, with fresh cream and a small jar of jam, was HEAVEN, Hubby had chocolate fudge cake and chocolate ice cream, he loved it. Delicious coffee and a pot of proper tea, 2 cold drinks, reasonable prices for such a yummy meal, we will definitely be back, we will recommend you to anyone that will listen lol Thank god we dont live to far away :) xx
We've eaten here twice in the last few weeks and each time the food was superb. Great steaks and the fried chicken is awesome. Love the new potatoes which I always like with my meal.
The second time we were with a party celebrating a 13th birthday and the staff allowed us to decorate the table to our liking.
We were made to feel most welcome on both occasions and as we are regular visitors to Tenby this will always be on our list of the best places to eat. We have told our friends to try this place we know they will like it as much as we do.
Thankyou to all the staff.

Under new management. Pizza menu only with some lighter options. Friendly staff, casual dining area, lovely food, nicely presented. Value for money, would go again, would recommend it.
Good little cafe on the main street leading down to the harbour. Friendly staff. I had a cheese and ham sandwich, prawn jacket potato and a deep fried chicken with homemade chips. Reasonable priced.
Honestly, I just picked this place because of the name - it's perfect for a seaside town!
Arrvied, full pick of any table, asked to covid sign in at the door. Menus are on the table but weren't a full menu - it only contained savoury lunch items and nothing else. When the woman came over to take the order, I had to ask if they served hot chocolate, the answer being yes, no options given for sizes or any extras on it, so I just asked for 'all the trimmings' just in case. This came out as whipped cream and marshmallows.
Had no idea what sweet food was offered so I asked if they did scones. The answer was 'yes' but again no further offerings so I asked what it came with, to be told jam, cream & buttercream. Ordered that and asked for extra cream, to be told they're quite big pots, so I said that was fine as I liked a lot on my scone. The woman then said that she'd just bring me the one and I could ask if I needed more - I already did! As soon as the scone arrived, I immediately asked for the extra cream. I would've appreciated being given it in the first place, I knew I'd want it, hence the ask.
The food was nice, I had a tuna sandwhich so nothing really special but very well dressed with salad, coleslaw and tortilla chips. Standar pots of jam and well known brand of cream with the scone. It seems the hot chocolate was the highlight.
It's a pleasant place with a relaxed atmosphere and low lighting, nothing wrong with the food at all just don't expect gourmet. It's a cafe essentially, though I can't speak for what's offered as part of the restaraunt changeover in the evening. I do feel the service could have been improved. A full menu would obviously be helpful, without looking online you've got no idea what they offer. I chose and asked for things I wanted, but there could have been a dozen other items I fancied, I'll never know!
Good food, served quickly and in a friendly place. The only shame of the Fat Seagull is that they can’t fit just a few more in due to size, but in saying that, it would probably spoil the ambience of the place. Focused on local ingredients, the Fat Seagull is a fantastic little café-come-diner, with some fantastic dishes on the menu. Great to sit outside in the summer when the roads are pedestrianised and you can go al fresco.
Dropped on this little gem by accident but so glad we did. Situated on the Main Street of Tenby town you can eat inside or out at the tables in the street directly at the front of the restaurant.
I had the fat seagull burger which came topped with onion rings, side salad and a generous bowl of rustic chips. Hand on heart, this is the BEST burger I have ever tasted and the onion rings were amazing.
The staff here are the most friendly restaurant staff we have come across in the whole of Pembrokeshire, they are friendly in a nice down to earth way and came across as dear and genuine!
I noticed a French couple sitting next to us who were struggling to understand the menu, one of the waitresses went out of her way to have a go at speaking French to help the couple, although she only had basic French language she made her best of it at which the couple appeared impressed Of her efforts to help them, it made me feel proud to see she was welcoming our neighbouring countries like this and putting the brits in a good light.
This place has got a nice rustic feel to its interior, it’s clean and pleasing to the eye.
I later had a pot of tea which was delivered to the table in a really large teapot which I thought was very generous of them.
The photo was taken on our first visit, we returned two days later for the same again.
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to a point where I would say don’t miss It from your itinerary when visiting Tenby.
Can’t wait to go back....
Lovely restaurant. We had the burger and the bean chilli stuffed peppers. Then a slice of chocolate cake, cider and freshly squeezed orange juice. In total we spent about £37. Decent food, and lovely designed place - the fairy lights on the ceiling are magical. I would recommend booking a table as we went on a Tuesday night and it was very busy.
Had a really yummy lamb burger and great chips here. I got there for about 5pm midweek as I knew it got busy after 6. The food came really quickly even though they had a bit of a staffing issue and they were really polite and attentive.
Very tasty lunch , I had the crab baguette with chips and salad, the service was also very good, two young ladies and a young chap (think he was new , but very keen and friendly) good luck ! Highly recommend this place
Highly recommend!! We booked on the day and had an absolutely delicious meal. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was chill. My partner and I had the 3 for £19 small plates between us and that worked really well. The food was of a high quality and the veggie options were more creative than I’ve seen elsewhere, very much enjoyed the cauliflower wings! This was one of the best (and most cost effective!) meals we had while in Tenby
Really lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and most of all excellent food! We were their 1st customer of the day!
