Had been several years previously and tbh, it was just as good today as it was then. The carvery was in abundance with a good selection of meats, veg, and various sauces to accompany the meats. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price, good value for money. Would definitely make a return trip.

The food was delicious I had the light lunch which was £9.95 for two courses so I had chicken korma that was tasty and just the right portion size which also came with a nan bread. Followed by the warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream it tasted amazing all freshly cooked. Staff were helpful and friendly and food was brought out in a respectful time with no long waits. Buffet for wake of 50 people was catered for to include a selection of sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls and eight types of cake. The food was delicious. The service excellent. I would recommend this pub as a good venue for any function that needs catering for. Nothing was any trouble and you could have as much tea and coffee as you wished. The bar was also open. It was possible for a tab to be opened so that one person could pay for drinks at the end.
This pub really needs to advertise it's back room as a good venue. Parking excellent.

Great welcome, smiling happy staff, very friendly. Food looked and tasted great, came with family for a late birthday dinner. My grandson was quite tearful and they even tried to cheer him up. The inn was clean and had a good atmosphere x

Great find. Recently moved from Essex where most pubs cater for either youth or sports customers. The staff are friendly. Nice range of beers and the food excellent with good portions. We walk through the door and our drinks are being poured. A great example of a country pub. Cheers girls!

Good old fashioned pub & grub, you won't go hungry.
Had a really good evening at the bingo night, good prizes and a money game, plus you can have a meal.
They also host quiz night's for local charities, with a sausage and chips supper.

Fantastic food here any time of the day. Great host as well. The plates are so big and they are full of food. My Daughter had steak . My wife had lamb chops and I had fish and chips. Although we all had chips with our meals potatoes are an option.
