Love the fact the new owners brought back gluten-free and any time of day! You have to give it longer to be cooked as cooked completely to order, however, it's worth it. The only thing we've found is occasionally the fish comes out a bit greasy but still tastes good. The GF options are not badly priced either. You can order and pay online or via the app, or order and pay cash upon collection.
Non GF also good according to eldest and hubby. Hubby prefers the southern fried chicken from here as opposed to the other takeaway in Crown Mead - more meat on it!

As fish and chip shops go, this is a good one. Under new management for a while now. I'm not here that often but the food, service and atmosphere were exactly as you would want from a good "chippy".

Under new management and the food is excellent quality and quantity. It is very popular fish and chip shop so expect a queue on a Friday evening or order online which is the best thing to do. Staff are friendly and efficient.
