Visited here for the first time, won’t be the last.
Lovely atmosphere and a great setting.
We ate quite early (5pm) so it was fairly quiet still. The food arrived promptly and was very well presented. Absolutely no complaints on the quality or portion size. If you’re looking for a nice meal in a lovely old feeling pub/restaurant then this is the place. Very reasonably priced for the standard of food also. We will definitely be back.
Really lovely chilled out place. Quick service and really polite and friendly staff. We was served by Jon and he was attentive and really helpful. All the food and drinks we had were amazing too. Absolutely would come back again.
Went to the Old School House for an early tea, pub was a little quiet as expected, but more than made up for by the excellent service from Sam and “little” Connor.
Nothing was too much trouble for them, with Sam even coming to our table to take our food order etc, all done politely and friendly, with just the right amount of humour.
We had the fish and chips, together with the flat iron steak.
Food was great, and served quickly, can’t really comment on drinks as we just had a tonic water and sparkling water due to a long drive home.

We were served by Debbie what a lovely lady. She was very busy but nothing was too much trouble. It was my mum's birthday and she really made a lovely fuss of her and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Thank you. Great menu amd we really enjoyed our visit.

The Old School House offers a nostalgic charm that's hard to come by these days. The ambience is reminiscent of days gone by, and it’s a perfect blend of the past meeting the present. A special shoutout to barman Sam who brings an energy and expertise to his craft that elevates the whole experience. His knowledge and friendly demeanour make each visit memorable. Highly recommend for those seeking a genuine pub experience!
Been coming her for a long time now, seen good managers and staff come and go, i very rarely leave comments as it doesn’t seem fair as I know all the staff, but sometimes wherever you drink now and then there’s always one staff member that makes you feel very special whether serving food or drinks, I feel on this occasion I was served by GRACE with an absorbing smile, and politeness that’s impossible not to notice, and appreciate. As with all the staff here there’s always a welcoming greeting, and conversations, but on this occasion It was Grace that made my evening. Thank you Grace. 👌
We had another absolutely fab time at the old school house. Sam was our barman today and he looked after us from start to finish. Would definitly recommended for a breakfast/lunch!
Few places do do the perfect pint of neck oil. Beautiful pub, bar mans a brilliant bloke.
Overall well pleased
Scott is a great bartender. Remembers your drinks, wishes you a lovely evening. Top place and whilst we didn’t eat good looked great and people next to us raves about it.
