Beautiful 1950s pub. Fantastic restaurant, with juicy Spanish chicken and very good fries. Toilets were also cleaned regularly.

Another fantastic experience at this pub. I wanted a table reserved big enough to accommodate 2 large wheelchairs for people with disabilities. This was done with no hassle and plenty of room. The food was excellent and so fresh and hot. Couldn’t fault it. The service was so good that I asked for the young lads name as he was so polite and the service he gave to us was of a very high standard. Thank you Joe for being our host and making sure we were ok and got everything we needed.

Christmas day lunch. We've been going for Christmas day for years and we have never had a bad meal. The staff have always been just out of this world. They did everything they could to help us and cater to our needs. Even when my dad and his partner were poorly they packed all their food up and sent it home with us. Can't praise them enough!

Took my parents out for lunch, Nice relaxed atmosphere, good selection on the menu. Service by Rachel was top notch and very attentive, definitely 5 star service. Food was hot and tasty. Will definitely be coming back.

Went for the first as was in the area on a business trip. I was served at the bar by Libby who had a lovely smile and made me feel very welcome.I also ordered food and was served by a very smiley waitress I think her name was Pheonix. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

Staff, blond young lady on the bar very friendly and smiling. We have ordered via qr code. Another young lady who served us also very helpful and checked back with us. Rump steak especially was perfect, medium as it should be. Generally really good food compare to other places we have recently visited. Definitely will visit again and reccomend. It was my birthday.

Booked out a section of the pub to hold our end of season football party. The staff are just amazing, anything you ask of them is no trouble at all. The food was absolutely amazing, the buffet options were delicious and so much variety. Compliments to the chef as it was so fresh. All evening the staff couldn’t have helped us enough. Lilly who runs the Queslett is so accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend hiring for parties. Thanks to all the staff.

They have live music on the weekend can get loud and not everyone's taste. After 8.30am it starts to empty out as a lot of the younger people like to move on into town so more seating available inside. Beer always nice and they pour a good pint of Guinness.

Used this pub in the 70 80s now we have come back. Lunch today was lovely we all enjoyed it. Staff were very pleasant. We will be back recommend Spare Ribs with Chicken wings and dip. Beautiful.

We ordered fish and chips on the have two courses for whatever price. Fish was over cooked and the batter was dark brown and crispy, the chips were dry and unappetising and mushy peas was a teaspoon portion. We waiting for quite a while for our desserts after eating our mains. I asked the young lad who was waiting on the tables to find out where our desserts where. He said he will check, when he brought them out he slammed it on the table. Never had a bad man from here normally and the service is normally better.

We come here quite often.. both my husband and I had fish in batter.. the fish was totally overdone.. dark brown & the fish overcooked.. we complained & the manager was quite apologetic & gave us a drink on the house & sorted the batter out.. it's a nice place to come & normally the food is excellent..

Lovely pub. Food always seems to let it down. Ordered medium rib eye steak. Came well done around the edges and medium at best in the centre. No staff asked about our food. Shame really

Not impressed at all. Ordered beef rib twice and both were absolutely ruined. Table attendant was aware we was unhappy but did everything in his power not to ask us how our meal was. It's a shame really as atmosphere was pretty good. Sadly I won't return for a meal.

Regularly come to the queslett, always happy!! That's why we reserved the small area by the stairs on Tuesday evening for my husband' 60th meal. We are a huge family there were 18 of us, 9 of which were excited children!!! The staff allowed my daughter to put banners and helium ballooons up before we arrived so that the area looked special. A cake and candles were kept behind the bar for when we were ready. Throughout the evening the staff were welcoming, efficient and polite in difficult circumstances as the children were very active!!! Food was lovely and served quickly as were desserts. We had a lovely evening and managed to get out shortly after the pub quiz started at 9!! Hopefully we left the area tidy for the staff as they were clearly very busy. Thanks to you all and see you next time 😊

This pub is great. Staff and Boss are lovely,friendly all the time. The only gripe I have is that the outside glass top tables are never wiped clean before or after people have eaten their food. We have never noticed that the tables were clean. Otherwise we love goin for drinks etc here

I've been using this pub for many years now but was rather disappointed with a few things upon my visit last Sunday. My little girl who is 5 decided to have a bowl of chips. They were brought out first, no cutlery, no sauces ect..... I had to ask, the chips looked like they were an old batch which had been refried but not only that they were like warm. I was waiting for the young man to bring the cutlery over (which took ages), so in the meantime I asked one of the other staff who walked by to change them for freshly cooked ones. I would say a matter of moments later another bowl.was brought out, again this looked like an old batch, as they wouldn't have had time to fry the very few they give you anyway in that short space of time. The bowl had a massive chip out of it (which I have taken a picture). My little one got stuck into them anyway.
When the senior bar tender came along collecting the glasses, I did show him the chipped bowl and asked if this would be thrown away. Basically his non apologetic attitude astounded me with the shrug of the shoulders and taken the bowl and continued to collect the glasses.
I am not one to complain, but I had to air my disappointment.
