Dropped in here this afternoon for a quick pint at the end of our walk. Service was quick with no waiting and staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of seating available. Reasonable selection of beers, but unfortunately they had only one real ale. Will have to return to try out the food. Seems like a nice quiet pub.

Excellent food and excellent service We were a group of 10 ladies not one complaint. A lot of us asked for Eton mess which wasn't on the menu. But they made sure we got one . Nothing was too much trouble. They served us with a smile. When our mains arrived they were piping hot. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

I was at this pub for a funeral yesterday. The buffet food was delicious. A really sad occasion but the staff were attentive and it has a lovely atmosphere. Many thanks.
