Lovely place with views to die for. I have eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. It's 17 miles from my home but worth the drive out. There is plenty of parking. A big outside eating area with a play area for the kids. This is the place to be all year round but especially summer with those views.
Excellent service food and cask beer the fish with light batter and steak pieces in the pie and lasagne were really tasty home made chips too excellent meal will return
Tasty food, nice surroundings and service. Quite good value.
Glad to call back at the Carlton, it's been a few years. The place was rather quiet so the atmosphere was a bit sub-quorum. Overall the food was good (fish slightly under) but the presentation was excellent. Service was great.
Nice location and a relatively quiet setting.
The food was a bit on the expensive side for what it was, around £15 for fish and chips. The fish was quite small and the batter had a small pool of oil under it on the plate. The portion of chips came on a side plate and we both expected more.
We'd go back for a drink bit would pass on eating there in the future.
We visited for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent and the service quick. The staff are very friendly.
Its a lovely location with parking nearby.
Well worth a visit and competitive prices.
Friendly efficient staff good atmosphere with comfortable surroundings. Good choice of food for all our party. One member had special diatry needs this was not a problem for the chef. A great experience for everyone.
Had a superb evening with friends visiting from Worthing. Food and service was first class. Well recommended.
6 stars - lovely staff, great beer and amazing Yorkshire puddings and truffle fries
Very busy for Sunday lunch, make sure to ring ahead and book a table we had the 3 x course meal between the two of us Brie starter, traditional roast beef and desserts to finish up, it was bl**dy lovely to say the least, we were well looked after by staff, noticed tables were in demand filling quickly after each group left and new sat down... The pictures speak for themselves.
We came here as a mutual place to meet friends who came to the Yorkshire Dales for a holiday. We hadn’t heard about this pub but thought we’d give it a try! It didn’t disappoint. There were 8 of us and 2 dogs. All had roast dinner which came in good time. Plenty of vegetables on the side. The desserts were delicious and it was a shame we didn’t capture more shots. This was the only picture we managed to take!! Really enjoyed the Sunday lunch here!! A beautiful little village too. We went for a walk afterwards with the doggies!
Excellent food and service as always, can always recommend this place for a great meal
