Absolutely great old pub probably a bit tricky to find if you don't know the area but the food is absolutely fantastic. We just called in on a Sunday afternoon,the staff were really friendly and very efficient. If you like a good pie then this is definitely the place to go. I had a stuffed chicken breast with new potatoes and veg and again a massive portion. I couldn't fault anything it was all cooked to perfection.
We would certainly recommend and certainly visit again.

Visited as our bike group previously based weekend trips nearby. Food is very good. Staff are first class. Amazing inside tge building, very olde world quirky.
We had a beautiful meal and two pints of Greene King IPA. Located in Thompson, Norfolk the meals are lovely - we had the Vegetable Curry with naan and rice and the Salmon stuffed Chicken Breast in cheese sauce with vegetables. The late summer evening favoured sitting outside. Highly recommended.
We stopped in for a lunch. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was efficient, available and not intrusive.
The interior of the pub is a beautiful, Tudor look.

Beautiful old traditional pub.
Had a lovely meal, with fab company - my sister and eldest daughter. We all said how good the meal was and very good value too. Service excellent followed by a lovely chat with Richard the landlord/chef.
