I essentially grew up in this pub in my teenage years and 20s and came back here to have a meal with my parents some 20 years later. The decor basically hasn't changed since the mid 90s at least, but the atmosphere in this pub has always been very cosy, welcoming and modest. The food I had (the bacon burger) was really nice, tasty simple pub grub and good value too. Gets 5 stars not just for the nostalgia then.
Great little local pub. Friendly staff and locals alike. Mostly older customers. No loud music or noisy fruit machines here. Perfect for a catch up with friends and family.
Food is definitely worth trying if your hungry. No complaints from me, even as a former pub chef myself.
One of those rarities a genuine old English pub with separate bar and restaurant.Friendly atmosphere and you can hold a conversation.Small garden and play area in the summer and off road parking.Great pub food

Great local pub with a good selection of beers. Food is delicious and staff are always super friendly. All very reasonably priced. We feel very lucky to have this as our local!

An old-fashioned drinkers pub, a proper pub, a little bit tired in places, but a great selection beers , friendly staff, 6 of us all had a meal, it all arrived at the same time, and hot and it tasted great .well done to the serving staff and cook.
A lovely traditional lovely little pub. Friendly and cosy with a good menu and great quality home cooked food. The garden is cosy too with space and things for kids to keep busy.
Great food at a reasonable price. Atmosphere cosy and friendly. Staff excellent, too. Seems very popular - we were in on a Friday lunchtime and almost all tables were taken.
