Truly a North Indian taste Restaurant. Food with rajasthan & Punjabi fusion in taste. If staying in Thornbury must visit Indian restaurant if you like good authentic Indian food. To add on that really good service by staff.

One of the most authentic curry house in the South country! Truly delicious food served with care. Ram is always smiling and happy to cater for traditional Indian cooking as per request. Soothing ambience and great location. Definitely worth trying.

For those who enjoy mainstream lager and 'three trick sauce’ curry this may not be to your preference. More a handmade cask ale, the deft use by a first generation Indian of fresh spices ads aromas, flavours and textures not seen in mainstream curry houses; even the dipping sauces are a wonder. Arrive empty to enjoy the samosas and rice pudding.

We came last Friday for a meal and were very happy with the good service, nice atmosphere and the quality of the food. Not greasy, very tasty North Indian cuisine. The tandoori chicken and vegetarian jalfreze were really nice. As was the traditional rice pudding for desert. Recommended.

Really really good, I have a takeaway from this place twice a month, maybe more but who’s counting. I would say this is a high end Indian and the quality of the delivery is excellent, warm food and on time. The owner is very pleasant and knows me by name which always helps with the hole experience. It is more pricey than your average Indian but for me worth every Penny. An asset to thornbury, keep it up.

Visited the Roobroo to have a meal in the early evening of 13th April. This was the first time ever that we have eaten at this restaurant and we would thoroughly recommend it. Many Indian restaurants have deteriorated since Covid Lockdown. However, the Roobroo is much better than most that you will currently find in the South Gloucestershire area and much further away. The food was exceptional and the quality was particularly good.

My partner and I are foodies! We've tried countless Indians before now and have never tried any as great as Roobroo. All spices are made personally by the owner on a weekly basis.. you couldn't get any fresher than that!

What a lovely surprise this turned out to be. I am quite fussy and find many Indian restaurants serve the same old dishes, most of which taste like each other.
This one is not one of them. The food is obviously made from scratch and tasted delicious. You could taste the spices and each plate was more delicious then the other. The owner was front of house and was super helpful when we asked about anything, making us feel really welcome.
I cannot recommend this enough!
