Outstanding fish and chips by any standard anywhere. Staff were amazing too. Ringing endorsement by customers who form a queue outside the front door half an hour before the shop opens. Cod was huge, thick, juicy, batter was perfect, chips also. Will be back - probably too often.

Staying nearby on holiday, so we googled Best fish n chips shops nearby. After reading other good reviews my Girlfriend and I decided on Parky's. We were not disappointed . A queue at the door was a good sign and we were met with friendly staff ,we ordered regular Cod and chips each. Portion sizes were good and cooked perfect . Really nice and hot too, even after driving 15mins back to where we were staying. Chips slightly crisp with little grease. Prices reasonable too. If your looking for good fish and chips. Look no further than Parky's.

Great service and great food! Staff are friendly and act like they actually want your custom which is unusual for the trade and no doubt why they have a rating of 4.7 stars! Food is consistently good, recommend the battered sausages, chips and curry sauce!

Now - i've promised the owner Stel since I ate here, that I would give him a true and honest review after I tried his food and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I was on the motorway heading to the midlands and did a search for somewhere to eat, so I called ahead of time to place my order. I waited a couple of minutes for everything to come out fresh. I had 4 large fish and chips, they were all packaged in boxes with no paper sticking to the food. It was a delight eat. The cod flakes were as white as snow, the batter light and crispy. In all honesty the flakes just fell away from the batter, the chips were crispy and fluffy and don't even get me started on the curry sauce (a must). It's a real unique taste, the portion sizes were perfect. It was more than enough to leave you feeling full but not stuffed. This shop is a true credit to the family who own and run it and I'll definitely be back again. The people of Thornbury have a true gem in their village, lucky them and well done to Parky's Chippy 👍🏻💪🏻👏🏻
