Super friendly and lovely chilled place went out for a family meal and was so good the food came out really fast recommend also really good with allergy’s

Went for NYE party and Stayed in the pubs hotel. The nye party was excellent value and food buffet was brilliant!! Next day we had breakfast which was great value and really nice food. The staff were great and always attending to your needs, extremely friendly place, we travelled from Bolton and vannot wait to return and also return for NYE 2024!! Thanks so much for great time. ( Special shoutout to the lady who was assistant manager she was amazing with us and our kids.. Please do whatever you can to keep.this lady forever as she makes the place that extra special of what already is a great place to dine and drink!!! ) SEE YA SOON!!

Surprisingly quiet on a bank holiday Monday. Very nice food and the staff were very pleasant. The little climbing frame and slide kept our 3 year old nephew entertained.

Good parking availability, easy access for disabled people, very welcoming staff, clean and inviting restaurant. The staff could not do enough, although they were attentive, they were not intrusive. The service was perfect timing, giving our family time to catch up before we ate, the food was freshly cooked and just the right portion size.

It’s always a pleasure to come here. The staff always remember us and are super friendly. I even booked for my birthday and will always come back. Reasonably priced and great food

Met with siblings to discuss personal issues and requested a quiet area, the staff were very obliging and seated us perfectly. The menu and qr codes were explained and was very easy to use. Food as always delicious! Team that was on duty were really lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.

Nice friendly welcome, a few minutes wait at the bar as only 1 member of staff on. Then she left to take drinks to a table. Another staff member approached us to see if we were being served I said no so she jumped on the bar. Seated promptly and chose our meals. Ordered quickly and food served approx 15/20 mins later. All very tasty and plentiful - steak cooked to my liking, lovely chips too. My only criticism not just at King's Chamber but with any pub/restaurant is the stone cold plates! WHY? A lovely meal that goes cold in minutes. Plus the stainless steel gravy boat with my steak sauce in was stone cold too. Such a shame. Please get this right and it would be fabulous!

The venue is very clean, tidy and there is plenty of comfortable seating. My mum was in her wheelchair but there were no issues at all. The welcome was great, ordering and table service were excellent and the food was very tasty and filling, with great portions. I was given a discount code by email and this was accepted without any fuss. All in all a lovely venue and myself and my elderly mother will be visiting again when she is allowed out on day release LOL. Thanks to the staff, they were brilliant.

I can`t really say that the food is not good, but it was not quite according to my personal taste. Anyway I can still say the food is good (not awesome according to my liking). On the other hand all the facilities are awesome. Great bed, great TV, great internet, great bathroom, generally speaking awesome room. The stuff are very friendly and chatty. Also I forgot one of my smart gadgets in the room. It was connected to the TV via USB. I called the next day when I got back to my country, I explained the situation and asked them if one of my friends that lives in the area can drop by to pick it up. They were honest and cooperative, they found my gadget and left it at the reception in the lobby so my friend picked it up the next day. I was surprised that they actually searched for my device and that they really returned it. I can honestly say that in many similar situations I would have lost it forever and nobody would have admit finding it in the room. Conclusion: Food - 4 stars out of 5 Room - 5 stars out of 5 Staff - 6 stars out of 5

Staff were sweet and friendly. Food was good and filling (carvery). Will visit again for sure

We all had a good time the good was really nice.we all enjoyed the food.the staff we're all very polite and friendly .the only downside was two of the tables next to us had dogs although very friendly we had 8 children with us .3 under 5 years old made us a bit nervous. Other than that all was good.

Love coming here for carvery, we hadn't booked a table and they could still accommodate us as a walk in, the food is mostly delicious, jay the server was great, will be back!

Excellent food and service. The portions are generous and well presented. We had the fish and chips, hunters chicken, and steak sandwich and we couldn't fault it. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Thanks to Daz in the kitchen and Poppy who served us. The only negative was there was a group of very loud, sweary lads that no one dealt with.

One of my favourite pubs in the local area been coming here for years. The pictures below show what me and my partner had tonight and I have no complaints. The food was filling and good value for money. The atmosphere in the pub was great as always. Every time I have had carverys in the past they have been delicious. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Having been before and had a bad experience with the food we ventured again as it used to be really good. Pleasantly surprised food was very good albeit not as hot as it could have been

I booked for a buffet on Saturday 11 November. For my daughter's engagement party. The food was plentiful, very tasty and good value for money. The staff were absolutely brilliant, helpful and friendly couldn't of asked for more. Thank you Charlene for the speedy drinks orders. (They were big there was 16 of us.) Shout out to Daz the chef and his team for outstanding food. Thank you. 😊 Would definitely book again. Would recommend to anyone needing to book an event. Thank you to all the staff at the King's Chamber. 10/10. 😊

Our experience was superb from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were served by Ellie who was outstanding. We had the 3 course Christmas meal it was beautiful. We visit the King's chambers frequently. I am disappointed that you have stopped the refillable soft drinks. 😔

Popped into my fave Thorne eatery to find they stopped serving at 8 so dropped in here for a quick bite. Carvery for sir and mushroom pate for me. Peas were the only edible veg on the pass and the beef was disgustingly chewy as I tried a bit while I waited for mine. The first pate served had holes in the slices of French toasted bread so I asked for full ones, these duly arrived but the pate was so incredibly salty it was vile. When the staff asked if it was ok he thought I was joking when I told him it was all vile and why. No refund was offered but he did say I should have told them before. My guy is so polite he’ll eat whatever is put in front of him and not complain he just won’t go back, well neither will I. I’ve eaten here around four times for the same reason as tonight and it’s been bloody awful every time

Just visited ordered half roast chicken at £9.25 , a dried up miniature chicken arrived, no meat on it all bone, dried up sweet potato fries, ordered piri piri sauce it was poured all over chicken not in a side dish, probably to cover up the chicken. Gammon steak was like eating a packet of salt. Offered a different meal as he couldn't guarantee the chicken would be any better if they swapped it. Not succulent as advertised on the menu then, but husband was finished before mine arrived. Had a refund. Appalling service and food!!!

Called in for sunday carvery 29th april. At 3pm.Opted for the medium at 9.95. Got 2 very thin slithers of meat turkey and beef when i asked for a bit more i felt like oliver was given a dirty look and got another peice the size of my fork. At this point i gave up and got veg. To be met at the other side of the counter my a staff member with a medium size plate half full of meat. When i asked if that was a medium portion he replied its for staff. Never known staff so rude my friend who is 6ft 5 had the large carvery when he asked if he could have the end bit of meat that she had just cut and left to side she just NO.. Kingschamber managers you really need to sort out your staffs attitude . I was absolutly disgusted . As a resident of thorne that has to be my first and last visit. ......

I have never been to this place and had a nice meal or good service! Went today door a carvery had to wait for gravy, Yorkshire puddings and other bits to see staff sighing at customers when they said they were out of things. The carvery itself was tasteless. If you are queuing politely at the bar people who push to the front are always served first even if the staff have seen you waiting for ages. I have received orders wrong and more often than not burnt or disgusting tasting food. I'm not going again

My husband, brother-in-law and I stayed at Kings Chambers for 5 nights beginning of June. The staff couldn't have been my accommodating ! I'm on crutches and had a room on 1st floor bil had ground floor , we asked if we could swap rooms but they went 1 better and offered me an easy access room. We jumped at the chance... no messing around it had a wet room rather than a bath so much easier for me thankyou Peter. David, Kelly, Deborah and everybody else who's name I have forgotten thankyou for making our stay memorable and we will be coming back later in the year

The service i felt was fine really friendly and quick food on the other hand me and my wofe both got a club sandwhich chicken and bacon lettuce and chips chips was warm not hot and not great the club sandwhich talk about rations we had one bit of bacon on it and that was split uo othet both half of the thing thing just one more bit of bacon would of made a massive difference.

Went in yesterday with my daughter we both had carvery meat was dry, yorkies were dry and crumbled when cut, mash was sloppy and watery and the stuffing and roast potatoes tasted deep fried I didn't even bother with veg it looked frozen not fresh very disappointed only reason I gave 2 stars is the place was clean and staff were nice, sorry we won't be returning

This is a hidden gem , food was really nice , good atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and have ‘smiley’ faces , will definitely be back

Visiting this area for first time stayed at the kings chamber,ate in the pub. Staff very friendly and helpful , bed comfortable food excellent and plenty of it . I would recommend it to anyone , also child friendly with a play area inside pub for families with smaller children , but not disturbing other dinners

Went today and had Carvery carnt fault it for the price 2 mains for £10. But the gravy needed refilling which took staff a while . the red velvet cheese cake is to die for

Absolutely love this place food is always great especially the carvery staff are so welcoming and friendly they cannot do enough to help. All these people leaving negative comments obviously haven't been to the same place as me either that or they're just qualified complainers!! Keep it up �

Our meals were lovely, even tho they had to swap two meals we’d ordered for something else as they weren’t available ( no longer stocked I believe ). We were given extra side orders & a free desert as way of an apology. David was very polite & patient with us as we decided what to have instead, he suggestion for the lamb burger was spot on. Will for sure go again �

I've been for lunch today for a belated mother's Day lunch, we both had pie from the 2 for £10 menu and it was beautiful and my mam makes an excellent pie herself so to impress her is an achievement. :-)
