Service is first class and there's always a huge selection of drinks available from the friendly bar staff.
The bingo and quiz night is very popular, well run and a fun night out!

Just spent the week at Stanilands Marina to allow me to black the boat. Yes, the highlight of my week was the Barge Inn.
Bar staff are very professional and helpful plus the fact you get service with a smile. Good selection of Beers, Lager, Wines and spirits. Plus you can pay by cash or card.
Food cooked in the kitchen was excellent, served on a preheated plate to ensure that it stayed piping hot while eating it. So a big thanks to Steve for the many variety's of different meals which I certainly got through, in the week I was there. Sunday Dinners was exceptionally scrumptious.. Pretty sure I have put on a few pounds while I was there.!
While I am here a big thanks to Matt, Ryan and not quite sure of the other fellas names who dealt with me on the slipway and chandeliers. A credit to Stanilands Marina.
Only niggle I had was that the onsite services ie, Toilets and showers for the menfolk were out of order and the washing machines and dryers were also out of order.
But on the other hand it was a great week spent at the Marina.

Great place very local and convenient, lovely staff and are definitely worth a visit if you are local to Thorne. Their summer festival is a must do - and the prices are very competitive . Would definitely recommend for a afternoon evening out
The new chef at the barge inn is doing great food at great prices and well worth a visit to this lovely place on the canal side and lots of choices on the drinks in the bar also.
WELL WORTH A VISIT.
Had Christmas lunch at the Barge today. It was excellent, really couldn’t fault it. Food was presented beautifully, cooked well and hot. Served with a smile and attentiveness. Extremely good value for money. Steve and the kitchen staff did an amazing job. Thank you. Janet & Roger

Lovely little place for a quick pint and rest.
A lovely addition to the marina; friendly staff and well-priced drinks. I used the main marina facilities to paint my boat; having a pub on site is a real bonus, the locals seem friendly too!
Most people seem to be posting reviews about the pub on Staniland Marina’s page; I hope by creating this review it will prevent people from making this mistake 🤔
If its a nice home style cooking or just a couple of relaxing beers this is the place to be they do have a good selection of Gin and Rums and the 2 day music festival just gets bigger n better every year
