1st time visiting this quirky pub/restaurant yesterday..greeted by staff & shown to a table..fabulous homemade food..could not fault it one bit & has parking to the rear..will definitely recommend & visit again :-)

My brother, who was visiting from Canada, was wanting the classic English Pub Food experience & the New Inn certainly delivered.

Thornton Le dale is just down from the Premier Inn at Pickering (not walkable as there are not any pavements and no street lighting and it is a fast road)
I was there with a group of friends and it was an excellent place and food was pre-ordered and was excellent
Not too sure if I will be back but that will be because of the distance (I live in Bristol)
Delicious Meals in Traditional Pub Setting
Popped in for something to eat, we didn't have a reservation but the friendly waitress found us a table. The dining room was quiet but cosy, away from the hustle bustle of the main bar, making for a relaxing meal. The food was hearty and tasty, well worth waiting for. The waitress was helpful, attentive and friendly. The meals come in two sizes, small or large. We had the small and there was plenty to eat.

Typical pub inside. Nice atmosphere. Very busy on our visit and it seemed only 2 staff working. It was the poor ladies 1st or 2nd day bless her. She did amazing but she was virtually on her own apart from another guy bringing the food out.
We were a group of 4 families with our children. They had ran out of a few things like peas and beans and vanilla ice cream. Also they couldn't split the bill 4 ways for us as 2 people wanted to pay cash and 2 card. It was quite frustrating they couldn't facilitate this simple request? The food was nice. The odd chewy bit of steak in the pie but everything else was okay. Chips lovely!
A lovely place to stay right in the heart of the village. We decided to take a father and son weekend away, Louise and the team were awesome and made us feel at home, thank you we will definitely be back again. one of our favourite spots.
The new inn is a great place to go for a drink and to socialise. They have a good selection of beer on tap and friendly staff. They have a spacious pool room downstairs along with a dartboard. The beer garden to the rear is reasonably spacious. They have a couple of table out front as well so if you don't going to the rear then you can sit out front. I'd recommend going for a good time.

Called in, hadn't booked but very kindly found us a table even though they were quite busy. Good pub menu and the food was very good.
Fabulous service. The steak was absolutely fantastic, melt in the mouth. Congratulations to the chef. Really glad we chose the New Inn Thornton le Dale to celebrate my husbands birthday. Highly recommend 👌🏻
We had dinner here this evening, the pies were delicious and massive portions. Staff were friendly. It's dog friendly too which is a bonus.
