Lisa's Place

First time visiting, place was hiding in a small shopping strip. As we approached the restaurant we bumped into a herd of people walking out from this place. That's always a good sign. Went it place was homey. Cozy lil spot with a warm inviting atmosphere. Zoe was our waitress. Kind and friendly young lady. Menu was kinda worn but still able to read. Ordered breakfast. Biscuits and gravy and steak and eggs. They were okay. Gravy was a little bland even tho it had sausage in it and steak was a little too bloody for being medium but those are fixable things by the cook. They also have a huge tent in that back that holds more people. Definitely willing to return.

I came in during the height of the breakfast rush hour and the place was totally packed. As soon as I came in I was greeted and seated and had my order taken within 2 mins. The food, in my case the chicken fried steak with chili sauce, was sublime and cooked to perfection. During my meal my waitress was exceptionally attentive, which impressed me because of how busy she was. I had the pleasure of chatting with The Real Lisa. Such a wonderful woman who genuinely cares about her staff and customers. Do yourself a favor and make this your new Go To Breakfast Spot, I sure did!

I'm giving five stars for the polite server, and good service provided. Also, the steak and eggs was a decent cut of meat and cooked properly and tender. Most little joints serve a flat, chewy steak. The food won't blow your mind or anything, but I've been here twice and had a good server and decent meal that is affordable. Good portion size with plenty of food. Definitely a locals' kind of place, very small, bland atmosphere, no windows. But, give it a try, you'll likely enjoy the food, service, and price.
