First time visiting, very unique and cosy place, so large too. Had lasagna, but it felt too fatty and my stomach didn't like it. Other people ordered mixed grill and steak, which they were ok with is, just steak seemed chewy. Dessert was definitely best thing.
We had a wonderful evening. Friendly staff, great service and an amazing meal!
Brilliant experience, breakfast was served within 5-10 minutes and of astounding quality. All food was thoroughly and excellently put together, no complaints at all! Would definitely recommend coming here for breakfast to all dietary needs, the veggie sausages were immaculate!
Went here for lunch yesterday with my girlfriend. We hadn't been here for a while so decided to try it. We came and waited to be seated..the man(sorry didn't get his name) said that they were busy but offered us a table..this was fine but due to my girlfriend being pregnant he wanted to get a table
I enjoyed my lunch visit to this pub which is really nicely situated on the River. The food and drink were spot on. The staff were welcoming and polite, one young man stood out in particular - unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he was both polite and charming at the same time. I will definitel
What a change from the last visit! Staff were attentive and smiling, food was great with decent portions. Carolyn was brilliant, happy and efficient, apologising for the delay with the food. Keep it up guys.
Had Tesco vouchers to use up and visited here at 5.30pm. Dog friendly and staff attentive and constantly checking all OK and if wanting more drinks. Food was very good and well presented. Tomato and Tapenade Bruscetta and Salt and Pepper Squid starters. Mixed Grill and Seafood Grill special for main
Sunday lunch 😋 I had the roast. Husband had Steak and Ale pie. Delicious as always. Excellent service as always! I read some of the reviews on here and sadly they do not reflect our experience. We come here on a regular basis occasionally for brunch which is amazing, we have lunch and Sunday lunch.
I've been to this pub several times in the past and have always been happy with everything and the food has always been very good and tasty Yesterday's visit just wasn't up to normal standards primarily because there seemed to be less food on my plate than you would normally get with the pork belly
Delicious food in a beautiful old building. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie and the chocolate torte
Never been here before even though I've driven past over a thousand times in my life. Winter mid week was not too busy and was seated and served quite quickly. My Korean dish was terrific. Some good beer, too. It's alongside the river, so I imagine it can get really busy in the summer months.
Stumbled across this lovely place on the way to Norwich and I'm very happy we did! Ciabatta sandwiches were really good, service friendly and attentive and prices sensible. Even on a rainy day the location on the river is wonderful. I'd definitely recommend a visit here and we hope to return soon.
Nice pub by the river Yare. Lovely outdoor seating as well. Good selection of food and drinks. The food was delicious and served hot. The staff was friendly. Great views of the river and the surroundings. Dog friendly place. Nice big parking.
Absolutely stunning for everything including great quality standard of the food, service and atmosphere. The genuine hospitality and friendly approach of the bartender really amazed me especially during such a busy time in the evening where he constantly ran from one side of the bar to the other mak
Lovely little snack food although the mains can be hit or miss. A smidge on the pricey side too. Made up for by a gorgeous view of the river in a peaceful beer garden. Service is pretty good too.
