Called in here whilst staying in Thrapston overnight. Thrapston has a real lack of places to dine in, it's mainly just takeaways so myself and 3 friends were over the moon to find this hidden gem.
Poppadoms, starter, main, rice, side, naan and 2 pints each for £20 a head. Incredible value for generous portions of very tasty food with excellent service to match.
Already planning a return to Thrapston so I can eat here again!
We have had takeaway from this restaurant three times now and each time the food was cold and we only live ten minutes away and had to wait for it on collection.
However the food is excellent and is all gluten and dairy free which is fab.
So needless to say we have each time had to microwave our food which takes some of the pleasure out of it and do I hope they work on resolving this issue
I would have given 5 stars otherwise.
Very friendly good value great food
Just cold on take away 😕
We have ordered from the tandoori multiple times now and the customer service is absolutely amazing, the delivery drivers are lovely very friendly and the food is fantastic always very hot when received. Best take away around lovely food great price.
Lovely curry in the heart of Thrapston village...with friendly and quick serving staff. Food was nice and as expected. Serves beer, wine and spirits and at a good price. Recommended for Thrapston as the best in this village. Chicken Jalfrezi is nice and spicy and a good choice for spicy food lovers.
Great traditional curry house in Thrapston. Every night it is £11.95 per person for poppadoms, starter, main, rice, naan and sides which is incredible value for money. All dishes are of a very high standard and are always very tasty. My favourite Indian restaurant in Thrapston.
On our road trip to Peterborough antiques fair we fancied a good Indian.
Close by was the thrapston tandoori so we pulled into the car park to be greeted by the owner staring at us in a strange way.
I made the decision to eat there based on a picture of the wonderful nan bread and the welcoming toilets!
The music hit the spot as did the Black currant Robinsons squash.
The only downside was the dusty popadoms, but the madras and korma was very good, really good! When we were Finnish we were told to Finnish our drinks, I couldn’t wait to try the toilets so we both went.
They were amazing! But my partner Clum Shim couldn’t bring herself to sit on the seat, so she just sorted her hair out in the dusty mirror.
I was sad to leave but our time was up, all in all it was a very good experience and I would go again!
By far the best restaurant experience we have had for a long time, absolutely brilliant service ,the food was fantastic and the price was excellent value for money if you ever pass through thrapston this is the place to eat
Walk-in for 1 on a Friday night. Pleasant atmosphere, good smells cooking in kitchen, clean, acknowledged and greeted sharpish. Food was delicious good prices and portions. Manik (top man) was super friendly. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Stars
We are from the states and we have eaten lots of Indian Food. The food here is pretty good at a fair price. The man who runs the place is a little quirky, but it's almost funny. We will go back and try different dishes.
If there's a better Tandoori available on this planet, I've yet to find it! This place is a real gem, fabulous food, fabulous value. Don't be put off by the location and appearance of the restaurant, it doesn't do justice to the excellent food available within.
