A good afternoon out. The food was delightful and the staff friendly. There is ample parking and electric car charge sockets. The shop has a wide range of gift items to purchase.
Overall, the experience was good but it was slightly sainted by the rude waitress we had at the beginning. We hadn’t eaten at the restaurant before, and I had an email saying that our table had been booked along with our food. We then got asked for our food choices again which was slightly confusing and the waitress was clearly annoyed. She slammed our plates down and was rude and abrupt to my partner and mum. The food was great, though, and the prices were reasonable. The museum was informative and the shop was lovely to look around.

There were five in our group we all had the afternoon tea. Great selection of sandwiches and cake and up to three drinks per person. Great value for money.
There is also a little shop right next to the tea room for purchasing the famous Tiptree jams, chutneys, and more.
Lovely tea room serving lunches and afternoon teas - scones with clotted cream and your choice of jam are highly recommended. After enjoying refreshments, there's a small but well stocked museum to look around, charting the history of Tiptree and jam manufacturing. Exhibits range from historic jars and artefacts to impressive machines once used in the factory. Outside there's more to see, including some great classic tractors and agricultural equipment. There's also a gift shop selling the full range of top quality Tiptree produce. Sufficient on-site parking available. Worth noting that last orders at the tearoom are a while before closing time - with queues outside taking a while to move, I'd recommend not leaving it too late if you want to ensure you'll get in.
I really liked it here, we had the afternoon tea for 2 and it was delicious, there was plenty there and a nice selection. Staff were really friendly and it was a nice chilled atmosphere. Would recommend and I'd definitely visit again
We booked an afternoon tea and are so glad we did. The tea was lovely, and the staff were more than happy to do multiple refills. We each chose a sandwich filling and then split the two sandwiches. We had coronation turkey and prawn cocktail. They were both delicious. The scones were very fruity and crumbly. Lovely staff and great to walk around the shop afterwards. Would recommend as the price for the two of us was £32.
Delicious food, gorgeous setting, fast service, helpful staff, very reasonably priced, be prepared for a wait, but it's well with it.

You do have to queue if you would like a table in the tearoom but they have chairs in the queue area.
The scones are worth the wait! They cater for gluten free and dairy free options, too.
The jam museum and shop are a must to look round before you leave.
