Lovely cosy traditional inn. Locals made us feel very welcome.
Really friendly pub in Bampton and now has Exmoor Valley Pizza there every Tuesday evening, win, win.
5 out of 5. One of the most impressive Inns I have ever stayed at. It's a very vintage Inn set in a quaint village of Bampton. We booked a room for 4 people, expecting one room. However we were pleasantly surprised that ended up getting a suite with two rooms and a bathroom. The beds were really co
Went there for the Friday night curry. Excellent food, large choice and all cooked from scratch that evening. Congratulations to the chef. Friendly and welcoming landlord and atmosphere. We were in no hurry to leave. Thanks for a great evening.
Booked table for four given choice where we would like to sit as it wasn't very busy. Ordered two starters which arrived within 15 minutes. Four steaks which arrived a few minutes after starter plates were cleared away. All cooked to order. Only down side they don't specialise in coffees. Overall ve
Great pub with fantastic beer. Glasses are spotlessly clean and the bar personnel are very friendly. It’s just a shame they have to put up with arrogant customers, who refuse to wear masks although it’s still the law.
Very quiet during our visit on a Saturday evening. But it was the evening before the Euros final! Only had drinks but felt very welcomed by the landlord.
Attended for a family event. Carvery dinner was excellent and the staff were accomodating for the birthday cake we took. Nice beer garden and good drinks on tap.
Just got back from a nights stay and couldn't recommend this place any higher lovely comfortable room with lovely atmosphere and welcome from the regulars. Thank you
Great locals bar with a simple menu but good hearty food with some vege options, great places to go after a walk with warm fires and dog friendly.
This is a lovely friendly old English pub
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, very tasty and great having such a choice of curries. The atmosphere felt very genuine and will definitely be going back
A great pub. Always a friendly place and a good crowd.
Lovely local pub. Looked after us well when all the power went during storm Eunice. Thank you Richard and Alan.
Great entertainment last night with an Irish Trio playing after our meal. Good service, reasonably priced and a good atmosphere.
