Tobermory Bakery

This is an absolute gem. Pies where delicious, full of meat and pastry was perfect, very accommodating to our child that was verging on hangry after the ferry and bus ride, and the cakes looked so good it was hard to choose just one. There was 5 of us, we all picked different cakes and all enjoyed them so much. We had lots of bad food experiences on holiday, this was by far the best and if it was local to us we would be regulars.

The most lovely young lady served us yesterday. After finding many places we visited on Mull to be quite unfriendly (maybe the less than great weather was bringing everyone down?) I was delighted to visit this bakery and served by this lovely girl (sorry I didn't get your name). She was happy, patient and restored my faith in good customer service after many a disappointment on our short holiday to the island. We had a selection of pies, cakes and drinks... The best strawberry tart and macaroni pie I've I've had!!! If we are back in Tobermory I'm sure and I will be be ordering at least 2 of both😁🥮🍰💕

I got the soup and sandwich combo, which came out to be a little over £6. Food portions were just right (I'm too used to being overly full from American portions). The soup was really rich and flavorful, and the cheese in the toastie was really stretchy. I figured if I'm in the UK, I might as well try haggis AND blood pudding - I was not disappointed. They went well in the grilled cheese sandwich, and the acidity in salad that came with it cut through the richness. We got our food really late though, but maybe it was because the waitress was new. Overall, food was tasty, and it's a nice place to sit and chat.
