The Globe

Had a fantastic meal here on Friday night. Pub had a great buzz about it and the food was delicious. The main menu had all the classics but the specials took it to another level. The mussels and the lobster were delicious! Lovely pint of Tribute too! Staff were great - it was a busy service. There was a bit of a wait for our main courses but this was only a problem for the 11yo who was worried about missing the Spurs game…..

During half term, we had a day out with the kids in Topsham, thus needed a pub for a no frills but tasty and affordable lunch. The Globe was just perfect - great menu, wine list, beer selection - great choices for vegans and veggies too. They do pub classics really well. Service from the Bar manager / owner was brilliant - super friendly and efficient. The food we had was lovely - mussels and fries, burgers, vegan kebab, ravioli, all really tasty and v generous portions. Super clean tables, bathrooms and bar area. It's very well kept and a lovely outdoor terrace area out back. All in all it's the perfect lunch spot for an informal, well cooked above-average pub lunch in Topsham and I would highly recommend if this is what you're looking for. I'm deducting one start as we had to wait 40 minutes for the food to arrive but we weren't in a rush so this wasn't an issue for us. Thanks The Globe Team!

I took the missus here for a birthday meal. It was our first time here but it has been highly recommended many times. We were greeted by friendly staff and had a nice table next to the fire. We were well looked after and the food was amazing, very tasty. I had the Dressed Crab which was clearly fresh, very nice. A generally nice location and setting. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic week’s stay at The Globe. We couldn’t book an Airbnb or cottage for this week and chose The Globe for its competitive pricing and dog friendliness. It was a great choice. The staff were super friendly and always busy making sure that everything was just right. Great for us as dog owners, providing treats and doggy useful stuff. Fantastic location in the centre of Topsham, near to Exmouth and Exeter for trips. Would 100% recommend.

An awesome overnight stay at this pub, the rooms were dog friendly and when we arrived there was even a little pooch pack full of goodies - doggy beer, balls, bowls. Our dog loved it! The room was spotless and modern. The food was incredible! And a wonderful lovely atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. There wasn’t much parking on-site. However There was a car park just at the top of the road which was super convenient and only a 2 minute walk away.

Had a great stay here over a weekend! Team friendly and food excellent! Met the manager who was lovely and cared for us on our visit, spoke to the chef who was equally passionate about his fish specials which we tried! Room was excellent and breakfast was exceptional. Really want to stay for lunch but breakfast filled me up. Off to see the river walks and all these individual local shops in topsham!

We stayed here and had a lovely dinner in the evening, with garlic prawns and the Trio of Fish. Service was excellent, team engaged and the pub was full. Breakfast also didn't disappoint, now time for a walk along the river to see if we can squeeze a roast in before we go back. Room was very clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
