Best place for Italian food in Torquay area. Service was quick with lots of options of wine. The dishes were very authentic with rich flavours.

After a slow start where we left with menus at our table for what seemed an age without even being asked if we wanted a drink, service improved (to be fair the restaurant was busy). The food was well worth the wait. My Lasagne was top notch and BIG. The dessert was to die for. Great relaxed atmosphere

Came for dinner to celebrate my girlfriend going into remission after cancer and for my birthday. Lovely atmosphere, service first class and lovely food. Also massive shout out to Phoebe our waitress, who was amazing 🤩

Excellent food, good choice of wine, great service. Good atmosphere too. Haven't been for a while, as my last visit was not very enjoyable. That was lunchtime and I found it lacking in atmosphere and the music was too loud. However, based on my last visit I'll certainly be back.

Great pasta! Took linguini with frutti de mare - rich flavour with plenty seafoods, big portion hardy could finish one. Nice quiet ambience, friendly and smily staff. Will definitely come back again👍

We came here for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday, booking in advance. The location is easy to find and a little set back from the street, with seating outside also. We had a very nice waiter who was very attentive, but his back up was not too good since the water and also a side dish were late in arriving. There is a relatively small but varied menu, outside the mainly pizza and pasta options. We ordered some olives (lovely) and calamari starters to share with house white wine (lovely) then some chicken and pork main courses (very good taste but small) with house red wine (very good) and water. The cost was around £55 per person which is not cheap, but very good overall.

Amici restaurant in Torquay, UK, is a haven of exceptional cuisine where Natalia, our server, guided us with grace and expertise. From the fiery penne arrabbiata to the artful pizza bread formaggio and heavenly tiramisu, every dish was a masterpiece. The restaurant's ambiance was delightful, and the food exceeded all expectations. Amici and Natalia created a memorable dining experience, blending flavors and service in perfect harmony.

The food was amazing. Service was good. Food is very reasonably priced. The only downsides were the tables felt a bit on top of each other and a bit too loud to hold a conversation without raised voices across the table.

Great food! We came here for lunch because this restaurant was close to our hotel and we had a voucher that gave us one main meal free. The crab linguini I ordered was delicious but the chicken cacciatore dish my husband ordered was only so so. We saw several other main meals that looked terrific though. This was a really good value meal and the service was excellent.

Wonderful Italian Restaurant! We initially stopped for drinks and an appetizer. But after reviewing the menu and interacting with the staff, we decided to eat there. And we were quite glad we did. The Calamari appetizer was delicious. We both had pasta dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Fettuccine della Casa; my wife had the Penne con Pesto e Spinach. We didn't have dessert; but I watched one go by to another table and it looked great. I didn't see what needs they had, but the cider I had was excellent. My wife had a glass of the Pino Grigio. We both felt a 4.5 would be the more accurate rating, but since you can't give split ratings...

Food was excellent and service was great. Make sure you make a reservation if you are going on a date or planned night out. Amici is very busy and I had to sit outside to get a table. Great italian meal in England!

This is a slightly odd place, we've been there several times but frankly only because once you've been you get a bargain loyalty card meaning you can buy one main and get one free on your next visit although you only have about 3 weeks or so to do it. They seem to have a high turnover of staff too as we rarely see the same staff again on return visits. I have to say their burgers are to die for and the steaks are pretty good too. The rest of the menu is OK but nothing special at all and they do seem to insist on seasoning everything that comes out of the kitchen! Garlic bread is way too herby (it should just be garlic right) and other dishes are far too herby too. On one of our visits we both had profiteroles rolls, they were served in the most ridiculous tall glasses you've ever seen, completely unsuitable for such a dessert that needs cutting up with a spoon! We had a foreign waitress once who really could not explain what one of the desserts was, all she could say was 'is cake'! Service mediocre at best. Prices mains typically around £8-£10 with steaks at around £15. Coke often a bit flat. Like I said if they didn't run their continuous promotion we would never go back!

went here for my daughters 21st, excellent genuine italian food, service mediocre but the olives and flatbreads are gorgeous, restaurant feels small, always busy
