Wow. Ordered delivery tonight and it was about 22:30 and the food arrived quickly and was hot. Tikka biryani was rammed full of chicken and the sauce was nice. Also ordered tikka masala. I’ve never had a tikka masala that has a kick and a slightly sour taste it was gorgeous! Not the normal overpowering coconut sweet taste. It was the first place they popped up on just eat would highly recommend

Found this takeaway on our last night of our holiday. We had chicken balti and chicken korma with a rice and nan bread. Great value and excellent food, staff very polite and helpful, would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Really tasty curry. One of the best I've had for a while. Reasonably priced and good service. Will go back for sure when we are next in Torquay.

When my mum visits me in Torquay, we have the awkward problem of having to ensure she can catch the last direct bus back to Teignmouth at 7.00 pm. This can make it somewhat difficult to find places to eat during the late afternoon period. Simla Spice, however, was open for business at this time, and able to accommodate walk-ins. Popping in for a takeaway, we were instead encouraged to take our choice of table, and offered a wider choice from the in-house menu. Although my first two choices of drink ended up not being available (no alcohol free Cobra or Cranberry juice, despite being listed) the Kopperberg berry cider was refreshing, while the popadoms and pickles were delicious and a great appetizer. The lamb handi I ordered was tender, rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced - not so hot as to dominate the subtle flavours that are so often lost. The pilau rice was tasty, colourful, and cooked to perfection, far better than I could ever manage (note: one dish of rice is more than enough for two people.) As we sat, several parties of visiting Asian families stopped to view the menu, and an empty restaurant soon began to fill up. Well worth a pop-in visit during the day, but I would advise diners to book in advance if wishing to dine there in the evening.

Lovely dining experience, would highly recommend. Great food, drinks and friendly staff. The tables are immaculately laid with pristine white table cloths and sparkling glasses. You can see they take pride in what they do. We were hungry and expectant as the smells coming from the kitchen were very good. I couldn't resist a pint of cobra.. We ordered Simla special starters. Well presented mix of meats with the accompanying sauces and poppadoms were a good prequel to our mains. Very tasty. Chicken Tikka masala is one one my partners favourites so unusually I ordered the same with pilau rice and a Keema naan. The sauce was full of good flavours and the chicken pieces were cooked to perfection. My partner and were super happy with our food, her being a chef was a good seal of approval. Our portions were generous and there was no way we were leaving any. So the manager packaged what couldn't eat. We'll definetly be back soon.

The food was really tasty and very generous portion sizes. Even though we had booked we had a half hour wait but that was due to a very large table of 18 people squabbling about the bill. I can see why table sizes should be limited to 6. Staff to begin with were a bit frantic, we were given plates and cutlery but no menus or napkins.. they weren't attentive to our needs and didn't whether our food was ok or if we needed more drinks....small things but they make a difference to whether you like a place or love it. The food saved the day on this occasion as it was very nice and the eat out to help out discount was an added bonus.

Ordered our takeaway from here tonight. Was told on the phone that the delivery would be 45 mins to an hr and it actually arrived within 25 mins all the food was piping hot. Everything was very tasty... only thing that wasn't very nice was the keema nan the meat wasn't inside and the outer was too thick and stodgy. This didn't ruin the rest if the meal. Which we really enjoyed.

Was quiet on Saturday evening. Service was great and the food tasted really good. Waitress checked how we were doing and if we needed anything. Was charged roughly £2.50 for the pickle/chutney that accompanies the popadoms - I wasnt expecting that. However, overall this was still a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

A really wonderful night with friends ! Fabulous food and great service. Very friendly and welcoming . We had the works - pickle tray and pompadoms , shared starters ( quality onion bhaji with a delightful side salad) main courses all cooked to perfection _ so good that for the first time ever we had deserts( which were also lovely) even though we were completely full ! Along with bottles of wine the bill was extremely reasonable. Would gladly return .

Ate quite early so not many diners in. Service good with a smile, think the young lad was new so seemed a bit nervous, but he was nice. Dips were different to what we are used to being a northerner but I really enjoyed them. Starter was lovely main was tasty and lots of it. Enjoyed it.

This place had nice food but was quite expensive for what we ordered. (£70 for four adults, no starters). The atmosphere was very quiet. We went about 7:00pm on a Saturday night and we were the only people in there. One other table walked in as we were leaving but we got the sense that this place relies on its take-away service, which must be a good thing if the locals like it.
