Terra Marique ​vegan Restaurant

Incredible food that you can tell is made with such love. Everything is so tasty and served with such quality. Staff are amazing and such a beautiful atmosphere. Best place locally for allergies, they are amazing with gluten free and they do not cause a fuss or hassle about the situation, simply fantastic. I cannot fault this beautiful restaurant. Excited to return and for the future of this business!

I am vegan and was in Torquay for a week, and was very pleasantly surprised to find a fully vegan restaurant in the town centre! The first time I went, I enjoyed it SO much that I returned several times again during the week. The food is so wonderful, from falafel wraps and vegan 'crab' cakes to french toast and three bean chillis, and the portion sizes are filling and great value!!! If you go there for dinner, their deserts are to DIE for, especially the sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry cheesecake... Just as importantly, Hollie and the staff are the friendliest people EVER, and they make your dining experience a true pleasure, both gastronomically and socially. I could not recommend this place more highly to anyone, vegan or non-vegan, looking for super tasty, hearty and healthy food at such bargain prices. I hope that news of how good the food is at Terra Marique travels across the world both by land and by sea :)

Recently we were able to go to this restaurant and on the one hand it went very well but on the other not so much. The space is lovely, a basement with not many tables and comfortable. The menu is not very extensive but it is very varied and has curious dishes such as calamari that is not calamari or fish that is not either. It also has a variety of salads and an extensive drinks menu. We ordered a salad that was very good, a plate of vegan tacos and a tikka masala made with seitan. The dishes were generous and reasonably priced. With an entree for two people and a main course for each one, I think it's more than enough. The service was very attentive and friendly at all times. The only drawback we had was the wait time. There was a setback with the starter that arrived 1 hour and 10 minutes after entering the restaurant. Despite offering us the main dishes directly, they did not arrive before and they were served after 1:30. The restaurant was not crowded and the wait time for the dishes was too much for all the tables. I think it is a thing to solve, for example, offering something to eat as a "tapa" while the dishes arrive. Even so, I think they deserve a good score because it is a unique restaurant, with a great willingness to offer healthy food and offer local produce.

Great up and coming restaurant. I came here for my boyfriends brother who is vegan and he said ti was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, soul music playing on the night we were there (not sure if this is a regular thing). Pudding were amazing too! and my vegan fish and chips tasted better than the real thing!

My wife and I visited Terra Marique last night and had a fantastic time. The food was exceptional, great paired wines and warm sincere service. A family run business and great to see and speak to all members of the family throughout the night. We really hope they succeed in torquay and we will certainly be visiting again very soon! Go and support them, you will have a wonderful meal in a genuine family run restaurant!
