Good was amazing
Service was super attentive and polite
Prices were very reasonable.
Decor is unexpected but quirky.
They went the extra mile for us and put out some birthday banners.
Lovely place with exceptional food.
Spring rolls, Mixed grill, gammon and banana split were all perfect.

First time visiting here. Wow. Popped in on the off chance of getting a table and we were sat down straight away. My wife and I both had the steak diane . We both changed the peas for a bit of side salad which was no problem at all. I've got to say it was one of the best steak meals I've had anywhere. (Trust me I've eaten a lot of steak meals.) 5 stars all round. Will definitely return when we are back around this area.

Mr Cook was just down the road from where we were staying. It doesn't look particularly special from the outside, but inside it's absolutely wonderful especially if you're of a certain age. Famous film posters and photographs, film memorabilia, and musical instruments on the walls and ceilings. The background music is of that age that goes with the surroundings, and creates a wonderful atmosphere/ambience in which to eat your meal. There is a very good variety of well presented, excellent food and the staff are all excellent at their job. We found the service was excellent, and we went four times in the seven days we were in the area. The prices were very reasonable.

What a must go to place not only a fantastic stake house but the décor is out standing a real blast back to the past , for all to enjoy, the meal was second to none has to be the best stake house in Torquay, great service, top quality food

fabulous venue, food was lovely and served quickly, although it was very quiet due to time of year. fabulous decor with Hollywood and music memorabilia, loved it and would definitely recommend.

Don't be put off by the odd negative reviews by some of the keyboard warriors on here. This place is fantastic... Nothing wrong with the decor and the staff are lovely. Prices are way cheaper than similar places in town. Fantastic food. Great decor. And excellent value for money.

Just came back again... Even better than before. Warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food is amazing. If you love meat... Go for the mix grill.. you won't be disappointed.

This is a must experience. Food and drinks fantastic. Memorabilia is a must see, its simply amazing. Made very welcome and looked after second to none. Blown away by the experience.

Dinner served from 5pm.
A nice seating area with outdoor and conservatory seating too.
Food is served pretty quickly.
Vintage decor with several rather unique looking statues and an old rock n roll theme going on.
Good atmosphere and good food at affordable prices..

Great meal at Mr Cook! Lovely setting, nice outside area. Our food was cooked to perfection and delicious! My husband had Lamb shish, and it exceeded our expectations! The meat was very tasty, tender and succulent. I had Captain seafood platter and enjoyed every piece of the fish I ate. The portions were generous, probably a bit too much, didn't need all those chips :-)) Overall, it was a great experience! We would definitely come back, if lived locally!
