I went there for breakfast today. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast with a slice on bacon. The food was delicious and well presented with the bacon under the eggs on the toast, so the toast didn't get soggy.
I also ordered a double espresso which was one of the largest I've had and nice and strong.
Whatas really nice was you honesty and trust.
Because I didn't have any cash, the lady said have your food and then go to the post office to get some cash.
Nice place and friendly staff.
Only gripe was that the restaurant was cold.
Myself, my wife and two children visited Evergreen café whilst visiting Torquay and we left compelled to leave a glowing review (we don't normally leave reviews so that tells it's own story). The service was fantastic, the food (2 x large English breakfasts) was amazing with fresh produce used, a hot plate and cooked to perfection, the price was an added bonus. Can't recommend highly enough.

Had breakfast there twice while staying in Torquay and enjoyed the clean, comfortable surroundings. Lovely lady behind the counter. Food was cooked well eith excellent value.

Came for breakfast one day, which was fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. So we came for the Thai lunch the next day, we had the Penang Curry with Chicken and Rice, Yellow Curry with Chicken and rice and the Thai noodle soup with meatballs, each dish was absolutely delicious, would highly recommend. Then came back for breakfast again the day after 😋
All run by one lady at that time and she did a fabulous job, really wants her food to be just right and enjoyed. She is welcoming, has time to talk, is caring, humble and sociable, highly regarded in the local community and by her regular customers.
We will be visiting whenever we’re in Torquay. Thanks for a lovely time. ❤️
Truly delicious and authentic thai noodle soup, I highly recommend trying this place out, perfect on a cold day out :)
