Just been for a meal with my hubby for his birthday. Best meal I've had in a long time......all 3 courses! Couldn't fault it.

This was one of the best meals we have had in the area staff were extremely friendly and very attentive, great atmosphere more so due to all the restriction with the covid 19 at the moment but the owners and staff made you fell very welcome

This is our second visit to this hotel and on both occasions we have found Ken and Caroline the perfect host. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The food is served either in the bar or restaurant and is excellent and plentiful and reasonably priced. Breakfast is served and is well presented with a choice of hot food and cereals .The Manor is Located just a few miles from Gretna Green, and Dumfries centre is a short drive away. If you want a nice break away for couples or with the family, and you have not visited this part of Scotland before, then I would recommend you book a room at The Manor Country House Hotel. Oh by the way not forgetting Mackie the hotel dog he is cool.

Great steaks cooked just right. Young friendly staff. New chef Jean-Paul. Hope you get your wishes. Good desserts even though both served 5 minutes apart. Would we go again? Yep.

Beautiful hotel,the staff and owners are so lovely and friendly, we could not fault the food I would defo recommend the tbone steak,and the breakfast was perfect, I will most defiantly be returning here. Top marks from me well done guys
