In Winter when you find a pub opened in this area of the UK, you feel very lucky!
It was a cute little pub to get ourself warmed and something to eat.
They serve classic, cheap comfort food which was what we were looking for in this cold weather.
Both pies were very good, especially the fish pie, onions rings were ok. The best dish was for sure their homemade brownie served warm with some ice cream on top.
Recommend booking in advance, although we arrived 1 hour early with the intention of waiting in the bar for our table. Several minutes later the wonderful staff had prepared a table for us. Lovely informal, traditional pub that is super dog friendly. Food is simple but incredibly fresh and delicious. Highly recommended the seafood specials of the day.
Great pub with a good atmosphere. Mixture of locals and tourists. The staff were super friendly. The menu was was.limitrd but catered to lots of tastes and did it well. Portion size just right compared to huuge portions elsewhere in Cornwall. Quality ingredients. I look forward to going back again next year.
Stopped in here for some food and the food was lovely! Clean & comfortable, nice drinks, nice atmosphere and location.
Car park next door also
Is on the expensive side..
It is a lovely old public house that serves a great tasting menu selection.
Wherever you look, there is lots of history in the building, including lovely artworks around the place, with well attended outside hanging plants & seating area.
The service was faultless, as was the whole of our evening's dining here.
I would definitely recommend a visit if you are around this area. Likewise, if I'm back in the area again, I will be going back for the food & ambience.
Thank you to all the staff & landlords who made us feel welcome.
A lovely pub with quite a traditional feel (fairly dark front bar with low ceilings). We hadn’t booked but were accommodated for two of us to have some delicious food - the crawfish and the hake (and soup for starter). The price is around what I’d expect for freshly caught fish and rare seafood.
Beer gardens to the front, rear and side meant there was plenty of space for drinks. We tried the local gins and rums which had some quite unusual but tasty flavours.
I was very impressed with the staff and speed of the service, to say they were busy - the welcoming guy on arrival, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive, and bar staff were great too. Highly recommended
Busy pub on the way to the Logan Rock promontory.
Good food, not cheap, but nice, fresh quality products.
Good drink selection.
Quirky historic pub with beer gardens in front and at the back.
Quiet location.
Well worth a visit, can be busy so best to call and reserve a table well in advance, which unfortunately precludes spontaneity.
The Logan Rock Inn's crawfish left me utterly speechless! From the very first bite, I knew I was in for an extraordinary culinary experience. The crawfish was undoubtedly the star of the show – incredibly fresh, plump, and brimming with flavour. It was evident that the chefs at The Logan Rock Inn take immense pride in their craft.
The dish was beautifully seasoned, striking a harmonious balance between spices and the crawfish's natural sweetness. The texture was perfectly tender, making each morsel a delight to savour. To complement this seafood masterpiece, the accompanying sides and sauces were carefully curated to enhance the overall experience. So fresh you could taste the sea!
The charming ambiance of The Logan Rock Inn added to the pleasure of dining, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with staff members knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes they served.
If you're a seafood aficionado or simply appreciate fine dining, the crawfish at The Logan Rock Inn is an absolute must-try. It's an unforgettable culinary journey that will leave you craving more. I cannot recommend it highly enough – an incredible dining experience that truly exceeded all expectations!
Ben
Well, The Logan Rock Inn is a really nice pub, just like you imagine a pub to be. The food (mussels and lamb chops in our case) was outstanding. The service staff had a lot of fun at work and were very courteous. My tip for a Cornwall holiday.
Meal was well worth the wait , will go again.
Lovely staff, polite and attentive
Lovely setting
This was our best gastro experience in Cornwall. The definition of quality achieved with simple cooking.
The spider crab was a portion for 2, at £30. Everything else doesn't really matter. Top quality sea food super fairly priced.
