You have to try this place! Went for Sunday lunch with family and friends which was absolutely delicious! Loved it so much we went back the following Thursday for steak and red wine night and it was honestly one of the best steaks I have had! Cooked to perfection! Mouth watering! Looking for an excuse to visit again now! Highly recommend and absolutely fabulous friendly service from our waitress
The food and the atmosphere was great. Portion size wasn't huge, but is was all top quality! Would definitely recommend a romantic meal!
What I would say though is the drinks were quite expensive compared to other 'local' pubs around the area.
All considered an excellent night out!
Been here a few times and the welcome you get is second to none. You'll need to book if you want to guarantee a table, which speaks for itself. It's deceptively big, but that does not mean you have to wait long for meals. Everything we've had here has been excellent.
Portion sizes are very plentiful and I've still not had enough room to try the puddings yet. Perhaps I'll start with them next time:-)
10/10 great welcome as I stepped into the bar asked if I could bring in a dog no problem. I ordered a Sunday Lamb Roast it was delicious had brownie with ice cream dessert all very tasty staff very attentive. Stephen (landlord) and landlady delightful especially after I had a bad experience in a nearby pub in Mountain Ash I would highly recommend this place A* thank you
Nice friendly atmosphere from staff and customers 😀. In fact, 3 older gents (regulars) who were offered complimentary chips and fish by the manager offered me to take some. Which was a lovely gesture, both by the management and the gents 👏 😁.. I had a nice Lamb and mash. It is not a Gastropub, but as per above, it is a nicely decorated local pub, serving food with a great feel 👏
First time visiting Glantaff Inn. Very friendly staff, so nice and warm on a cold evening. They managed to squeeze us in despite having lots of reservations. We had a lovely meal at a very good price!
Super welcoming team and atmosphere on Monday lunch time! A gem of a stop off from the Taff Trail. Thank you for your care of us, our babies and bikes! Nothing was too much trouble and lovely food and facilities. Look forward to coming back!
So the pub itself is very pleasant, however, some staff could be a bit more friendly, the manager was brilliant and catered for us. The food is expensive for what it is however the meat was great. The desserts we got were not cooked however the owner/manager sorted this out for us and sorted it on the bill too. The pub is lovely and the locals are friendly too.
Had the most amazing valentines meal at the glantaff inn. The service was amazing also, we come here often and it's such a warm relaxing atmosphere with one very good head chef. Every member of staff makes you feel welcome. Best pub in the valleys for definate😊
A party of 3 people visiting for food after a long day of riding trails at Bike Park Wales. Really impressed overall, great place to get some decent quality food. Gorgeous hunters chicken was served in a claypot, the 16oz rump steak was HUGE and very impressive, the cajun chicken was well seasoned but lacked the 'wow factor' of the other two dishes. Beers were excellent - A decent pint of Guinness! Overall, really happy we chose to visit and would recommend. Total bill was £85 for 3 starters, 3 mains, and 6 pints of beer and cider, which I think is totally reasonable. Would've loved to have had room to try the desserts!
Went here for a meal with the hubby and I have to say the food was lovely had the homemade curry which was very tasty and then dessert. Will definitely be taking our daughter there for a meal now
We have been to the glantaff several times, they appreciate your custom they are a family run public house &restaurant food is very nice and it's pretty local for the family to have a get together
