Reviews of 3idiots Troon Tapas

The food was fab. First time trying 3 idiots and it wont be the last. The smaller portions/tapas style gave us the opportunity to try new things and we were not disappointed. The service was great as well. It was a quiet Monday night so the food was really quick in coming out. I loved the decor as well. The family style photos on the walls were a lovely touch. We will definitely be back soon for some more delights!

The take away we had was 10/10, divine! Easy to order, quick, excellent customer service upon collection, hot, fresh and amazingly tasty! However, we just had a meal in the restaurant and the service wasn't great. Sorry to say but there was clearly a new member of staff, I've worked in the industry for years and I know it's tough. But he mumbled, fumbled our drinks order a few times, nuff said. The portions were quite small, unlike the take away! Food service was pretty quick but mine wasn't so tasty this evening and was just about hot enough. Lovely table, booth, decor, ambience and some great customer service. We shared a takeaway with friends just before Christmas. We were able to order online and select a time for delivery. The food arrived bang on time and was absolutely delicious. It's a small point but the food wasn't labelled and some of our dishes were similar so we had fun trying to find out which was which. Had the dishes been labelled it would be a 5 star review.

This is not your average Indian restaurant, it is superior. Everything is freshly cooked to order and the owner/chef came out from the kitchen to see if diners' experiences could be improved. I went as part of a large group and we were well looked after last night with excellent food and attentive service. Our 3 veggies were delighted with their selections too. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for excellent quality food, taste and service.

We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we ate tapas style. The food was delicious and the service was great, especially Alison who was very friendly, particularly with the kids. I was worried that the tapas wouldn't be filling enough but I had nothing to worry about! We were absolutely full afterwards. Smashing restaurant in Troon, will definitely be back.

Fantastic food! As tasty as you want and clearly freshly cooked to order. Upon being seated we learn that the food is 'tapas' style and it takes our party of four considerable time and frustration trying to juggle the various menu options to suit everyone but we got there in the end. The young staff are a work in progress and need more in the way of training. One young lady advised us against ordering 'too much' rice on the grounds that it was 'very filling'. Another lady advised us not to order one of two draught beers on the grounds that 'I don't like it'. My starter was delivered with the main courses, the plates arrived cold after the food was served in various pots. and we were continually being asked if we 'enjoyed our meal' which I find annoying, unnecessary and unprofessional. For this reason, I knocked off one star. However, the food is the star here and it really is first class. Well worth a visit but do bear in mind the 'tapas' theme and if you want the items as a 'main' dish the price doubles although it doesn't say that on the menu. Highly recommended.
