Review The Crown Point Tavern - Trowse Newton

Absolutely epic roast by Blues NR3!!! We had the pork, which was so tasty and just melted in the mouth. It was served with sausage stuffing, roast potatoes, carrot, broccoli, cabbage, braised red cabbage, a lovely fluffy Yorkshire pudding and a delicious red wine gravy. We ordered cauliflower cheese as a side, which was also superb. We had our eyes on dessert too, but we were so stuffed after the roast we had to pass. We'll just make sure we're extra hungry next time so we don't miss out again. All in all, one of the best roasts we've had in ages, I definitely recommend this place. Just make sure you book at least a week in advance...

Had an amazing roast here with Blues Kithchen on a Sunday. Fantastic food, great service and beers on tap, lovely atmosphere too. The vegan roast was incredible, the cauliflower cheese was also brilliant.

Great afternoon spent here with family. The staff are brilliant. We arrived 30mins before the end of food service and it was OK. The pork was very nice and the Yorkshire puddings got a big thumbs up from everybody. The staff could not have been more accommodating and really made a difference.

Thank you to one and all. Absolutely delicious food from Blue's NR3 - great variety on the menu for all taste buds. I had the crab linguine which was full of flavour. Made to feel welcome due to friendly service. Put this on your to do list. I shall definitely return the next time I visit Norfolk

Lovely pub in a lovely little village near Norwich city centre. The food there is great now they have Blues Kitchen doing the food there. There is a nice selection of beers, wines and spirits at the bar as well.

Always a lovely welcome from very friendly staff. The food has improved massively over the past few years and is now on the must experience list rather than the must avoid list. The weekend roast in particular. Not sure how they achieve what they do in such a tiny kitchen.

Lovely village location with parking at the front. A warm welcome into a relaxed bar with a small conservatory and enclosed courtyard garden at the back. Sitting under the grapevines outside was so relaxing. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and arrived quickly (mid-week lunchtime).

Going with a 4/5 today. What could have been better. Gravy in the Yorkshire pudding to keep it warm. It went cold quite quickly. Skin on the chicken could have been crispy. And the fat on the pork could've been rendered more. What was good. Everything else. And the extra cauliflower cheese. A very enjoyable roast by NR3 Blues Kitchen and I like the Crown Point Tavern, perhaps better then the Rosebery. Prices are creeping up though . Might have been £13 a few years back. Hey ho. We shall return..

Every plate was sent back empty. Some quotes from our group: “one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in ages…. Worth eating so fast it caused me to choke… Wow wee!…. If I’d know it was going to be this good I’d have got the three meat… The cauliflower cheese was banging… Yums up!… Best hash brown ever!” We will be coming back if we visit Norfolk again.

Came for the Sunday Roast, cant fault the food, it is excellent, big portions and tasted great. Its quite cramped and we ordered drinks on 2 separate occasions which were forgotten about and had to ask again. Food 10/10.
