Lovely village location with parking at the front. A warm welcome into a relaxed bar with a small conservatory and enclosed courtyard garden at the back. Sitting under the grapevines outside was so relaxing. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and arrived quickly (mid-week lunchtime).

Every plate was sent back empty. Some quotes from our group: “one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in ages…. Worth eating so fast it caused me to choke… Wow wee!…. If I’d know it was going to be this good I’d have got the three meat… The cauliflower cheese was banging… Yums up!… Best hash brown ever!” We will be coming back if we visit Norfolk again.

Came here on a Thursday evening with family to have a meal. Delighted to say the food was excellent, we all opted for the fish and chips option which was amazing! Drinks we had were lovely and cold and super refreshing. Seating out the back was perfectly secluded yet had plenty of sunshine. Service from the team was exceptional too. Thank you all for a wonderful experience. Highly recommended to those looking for tastey good and brilliant service 👏👏

We walked here, from the Redwell, as part of the City of Ale trail. I just loved the setting and thought the beer was in excellent condition. The barman was a very good advertisement for the establishment: friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

A lovely old pub in a superb village setting. The beer's are well cared for and the wine selection is also very tempting, both are ideally suited to the excellent food which is various and beautifully cooked and presented. A very worthwhile visit.

We went to the first anniversary of the current management. It is a great spot to sit outside in good weather in a quiet village locstion. Food was available from a mobile pizza oven, which is usually available at weekends.

Old pub, could do with a little more investment. I only had a pint, so cannot comment on the food. It’s a decent and relaxing place.
