First ever visit, pleasantly surprised. Had the salmon on wild rice, perfectly cooked. Tasty dessert will definitely go back.

Stayed 6 nights, 5 days b & b. Brilliant sunday carvery. Food, all round v.v.good. rooms immaculate. Had problem with plumbing in shower that flooded, also pillows had not very nice marks, which was dealt with immediately, and we were moved immediately after alerting the reception. Room had juliette balcony overlooking fields, so, away from front main road V.v. friendly, accommodating, approachable staff. Albeit, slow service, sometimes. I will be coming back. Perfect location for sights of Cornwall and surrounding areas, ample parking.

My Son had his wedding reception here. Excellent Staff food was lovely 😍 👌 👍. We often go back for a Sunday roast when we visit my Son and his new Wife.

Choose to meet friends here as it was central for us all. Very quick to be shown to our table. A few of us had starters which were lovely. Main meals were all great too. Very quick service. The waitress was very attentive, sorry I didn't get her name. We only had the one Dessert but he said it was very good. The only disappointment was there was no custard as 2 of our group would have had Dessert if there was. Only issue was our table was under the TV & it had football on, so all eyes were towards us & if we stood up we got glared at. Should have asked to be moved but didn't realise the issue until after we started eating.
Overall a lovely evening & definitely go again.

A really lovely place to go for a evening out. My Wife and I we had our first meal in there and was not disappointed. We was greeted at the door, and taken to our table. The meal was lovely, I recommend the fish and chips. Next time I go I will try the roast dinner. Thank you Couty Arms.

I visit regularly on a Sunday - the carvery is my favourite although other food on the menu is also very good! The staff are always very friendly and helpful - only critique is that service for clearing plates is pretty slow which means by the time they come around you don’t really have time for dessert. Highly recommend

Wonderful Sunday carvery and even accommodating for a restricted diet like mine.. beer garden has views for miles, and the train passing every so often doesn't spoil the ambiance....
Server's were informative and attentive...

First time here and I wasn't disappointed. Service was great, good menu choice and the food was fab. I'd a beetroot falafel wrap which came with crisps and side salad. Plus onion rings. Very good prices too, £44 for lunch for 3 of us, including drinks. Will definitely visit again.

Service was slow. It took about 10 mins for someone to show us to our table.
We weren't sure if it was table service or not, wasn't explained.
The drinks sat on the bar about 10 mins before someone brought them over.
However, the food was extremely nice and came out surprisingly fast. the chap with the bill was prompt.
Just wish the service at the start was faster.
Would we go back.. yes we would.

Went to the County Arms today to meet friends, we had the starter of chicken strips with dips, very nice, hot well presented and plenty of sauce dip, main meal three of us had the Ham and Cheese ploughman's one had a burger, the ploughman's wasn't especially well presented, and for the price didn't feel it was worth it, two slices of nice ham, 2 picked onions, one picked egg, a slice of cheddar, some caramelised onion relish and a spoonful of slaw, two slices of dry bread that had obviously been left in the open air after slicing, on the side some salad leaves all that for £13, on the plus side the burger looked lovely, our waiter was excellent, he was very attentive asked us how everything was, he was very chatty and extremely friendly, so a big up for Dan, will I go again definitely, but I'd pick something else off the menu..

Stayed overnight for Friends 50th Wedding Anniversary. Lovely room needed the excellent aircon ,comfy bed and good shower. The breakfast was one of the best we have had.All the staff were friendly and helpful. It made for a lovely time away with old friends.

12 of us booked a table which was effortless, due to the size of the party we preordered to make it easier for the kitchen. On arrival we were shown to our table as we were a little ealry we ordered a drink and went out onto the sun deck and enjoyed the last of the evening sun! What a patio and view a real hidden gem! The staff were fantastic they gave us a 5 min warning so we had time to order another drink and take our seats. The food came out like a well oiled operation all meals were hot and fantastic. 4 or 5 of us all had steaks cooked in a variety of ways and all were spot on! Cooked to perfection even the chicken on the mixed grill was still moist!!!
Not overly priced and great value!
Fantastic experience thank you to all the team for a great experience! We will be back!

Stayed here over night a couple of times always good clean rooms.
Eaten here many many times love the Sunday lunch never been disappointed yet.
Service can seem a little slow but bare with as they do a fantastic job, unless you work or have worked in hospitally then you really don't know what these guys do behind the scenes.
