Great place for cup of tea. Bought some frozen gluten free pasty (not eaten yet so cant do review) There was gluten free cake to go with the cup of tes. Service was excellent . Get plenty of lovely foodie bits here or proper cornish goodies me ansome to take home.
Spent a great couple of hours sampling the wonderful array of Gin, Beers, Cheese, Olives, to name just a few. So much amazing quality food all produced in our beautiful county! #proudtobecornish!
Exceptional food and quality, showcasing the very best of Cornwall. Stayed for 2 weeks in Newquay but visited the Truro store of Waitrose, and this is inside and is a little gem. If you want quality and don't mind paying a little more, then this is definitely for you! Bought Ribeye steak from butchers and best I've ever eaten, along with some beautiful quiches and wonderful cakes. Will be returning for sure.
Good butchery and deli sections. Nice range of gifts. However, rather expensive.
Great stuff. It is in first instance not entirely clear that it is separate from the Waitrose, but then you will find fantastic regional products. We selected meats and cheeses and were quite happy with our purchases. Staff is very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
It's part of Waitrose, but separate. Pricey, but we bought some Cornish potatoes and some reduced price sourdough, both of which were lovely. We then bought some excellent fresh trout at the fish counter in Waitrose, where another customer was buying loads of scallops. When asked, the fishmonger confirmed these scallops were Scottish and they both agreed they were much nicer than the pricier Cornish ones on the fish counter in the adjoining Cornish Food Store. So, the moral is: you pays your money and makes your choice ( or something along those lines).
The store sells the best of Cornish produce. The fishmonger only sells fresh Cornish fish which comes from local markets, so don't be surprised if what you want isn't available because it's out of season. The counter is open every day except Monday, as there are no fish markets over the weekend, and closed on the Tuesday after a Bank Holiday Monday.
We had lunch in the cafe. I had a crab sandwich with lemon mayonnaise. The bread was good, but I was uninspired by the crab filling - I couldn't detect any lemon at all, and it was pretty light on seasoning. The cafe is pleasant, as are the staff.

A lovely store with meat, fish and deli counters. A good range of Cornish goods for everyone. Have a cafe where they have a great selection of food and hot and cold drinks to chose from. Coffee is served up to 4 at the moment. There are toilets here for customers.
So many items to buy from fresh butchers, delicatessen, bakery, alcohol Cornishware and local Cornish chocolate, my favourite being Josh's Gigantic Buttons.
Wonderful quality food served bere the best bacon or sausage sandwiches I've ever had great service too
Had the best breakfast baps ever in the cafe this morning! Generous quantities of delicious back bacon with two fried eggs in a local ciabatta roll. Friendly efficient service. Highly recommended, and I look forward to going again soon
