Fantastic little coffee shop. Stopped in today for a bite to eat, and was spoilt for choice with the lovely menu. I ended up having the brie and mushroom open sandwich, and my wife had the Welsh rarebit. Both super tasty!
We'll be back again.

What a lovely surprise to find Whyte's coffee house on our travels. If cake is your thing, you are not going to go wrong here. The cakes are great and the sponges are made in house. Speaking of which, the nutella sponge I had was out of this world nice. My wife had the coffee and walnut which was also fab. The ladies were very welcoming, thankfully we will return one day as some relatives are moving to Tutbury. In summary, top class cake and a lovely cuppa with some lovely staff, perfect. Perhaps I need to review my allocation of stars as five does not seem appropriate, I need another one!
We had a splendid lunch. Friendly welcome from the attentive hardworking team. Varied & reasonably priced menu. Food was nicely cooked. Loved the space between the tables. Planning to try their breakfast very soon. Well done to all Whyte's.
Visited for first time today. Really lovely staff. Very accommodating and cheery. Couldn't do enough for us. I had a bacon butty on granary bread. Delicious. My friend's bubble & squeak with a poached egg was perfect too. The decor is so interesting. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you
Had afternoon tea here for my Daughters birthday, it was absolutely yummy, tasty selection of little sandwiches plus other little savoury bits. Home made scone with jam and cream, chocolate brownie and a lovely selection of cakes, couldn’t eat it all so brought some home! All wonderfully fresh and delicious! Staff here are so friendly and welcoming.
Whytes makes wonderful coffee and great bacon sandwiches! The rest of the menu isn't bad either. Service is first class, and the serving staff are all very friendly and helpful. Lots of yummy home made cakes as well. Thank god it's local and I can walk my dogs there whenever I fancy.
I love Whytes! My friend and I always lunch here when she is over for a visit - would never go anywhere else. Especially love the smoked salmon open sandwich and the fish goujons 😄 and the cake selection .... Always yummy!
Fabulous tearoom ,an asset to Tutbury . Welcoming, great food , good value for money, pleasant atmosphere ….my elderly mum loved it and can’t wait to get back!
A week ago 11 of us descended on Whytes for coffee and cake. The cafe was welcoming, the service excellent and everything we had was of a high standard. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well.
