Family Birthday meal. Plenty of choice on the menu. We were a table for 6, one no dairy, one vegetarian and there were options for all ages and requirements.
Kelly served us and was a great help, lots of attention to detail, drinks, sauces etc. Food came quickly, was hot and delicious.
Food got 4/5 because the sharing (whole) Camembert only came with two tiny pieces of bread… but this was sorted when we asked. Only a small issue.
A really nice easy evening out. Highly recommend.
The interiors of the pub cum restaurant were as grand as of a Manor House. The decor was authentic old school.
The food was sumptuous and was beyond our expectations.

I recently visited the Winning Post on a bustling Sunday, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. Kelly, my waitress, truly went above and beyond, providing impeccable service that made my visit truly memorable. The roast dinner, accompanied by a delightful array of condiments, was absolutely delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. The combination of the warm ambiance, attentive staff, and delectable food made for an outstanding dining experience. Highly recommended!
Me and my hubby love this place for a Sunday Roast. The meat is always tender and delicious. We usually get the trio roast, 3 meats, beef, turkey and pork. Although the roast spuds could be crisper, the veg is always lovely and the Yorkshire pud is super. We add a side of super cheesy cauliflower cheese and a cheeky bottle of wine 😉
Service is always good, friendly and it's never too busy.
Visited on the afternoon of the All Blacks/ Springbok game at Twickenham with my brother and nephew. The atmosphere here was absolutely fantastic. It is far enough away from the ground not to be swamped by fans, yet close enough to be a great place to meet up before a game. The food is excellent, and even though we didn't book in advance so couldn't sit in the dedicated area for food, it made no difference to the service, nor our experience.
Been staying at the premier inn next door a lot over the last 6 months so got to know the staff. Especially Kelly who can’t do enough for you. Friendly chat and always asks how my day has been. Food has alway been good well worth the money.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful, the Duck Special was modified for my dad, his only complaint was he wanted more Duck, (Bless him) but he had enough room for Apple crumble

Some meals are nice but they could improve on it.. Steaks should be more juicy and more flabour. Their Staff is trying to be really nice, but their manager is mad and Very strict... They should change the manager..
