Great quality food with friendly customer service. Priced right for the area. We had just finished Scafell Pike and had driven back to Ulverston and this was a great way to celebrate and recover with some hearty food! 🍔🥧🍟

Lovely pub, staff very helpful and friendly. Menu, good choice available. Vegetrian and vegan choices as well. Reasonably priced. The place was clean, and the toilets were too. Plenty of seating available inside and outside. Definitely would revisit if in the area. Children welcome.

Friendly and welcoming with nice areas for family dining. Food excellent with large portions including Panko chicken burger and Gammon. Well worth a visit to pub built in 1500's. Mains tend to be £16-18 pp.

Visited as they have vegan options. However although the vegan nachos were delicious the Cajun vegetable main course was lacking and a bit safe and boring. There was no protein just lots of carbs in the shape of rice chips and flatbread and was basically the Cajun chicken dish without the chicken. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere. Don't think it would be my first choice next time in Ulverston.

Five stars. Very warm and friendly full of character a little gem in the hart of Ulverston with a good selection of beers and ales. We had three different meals all cooked to perfection and very reasonable priced what more can I say we will definitely be returning to Rose and Crown

ate here as a family of 4, can not rate it high enough, the service and food is incredible. My son has a milk allergy and it was no issue at all. We will definitely return, one of the best places I have been in a long time.

This was my second time coming for Sunday roast, and much to my great surprise they had a delicious veggie nut roast available. The other two in our small party had roast beef which they both enjoyed. I’m sad I didn’t ask the server if they had a vegetarian option when I came a few months ago, but that’s my own fault! (I had a vegetarian curry then which was also very good). The atmosphere and value are great, so I’m sure we’ll be back again soon. Sid’s room with the fire is super cozy to sit in on a cool day. Overall a wonderful pub to spend a few hours on a Sunday (or any other day!)
