Wasabi

This small restaurant is located ideally in the town centre. It only seats about 20 so booking is probably necessary at weekends but we visited mid week and found it quiet with only 2 other tables occupied. We were slightly early but seated immediately and service for drinks was fast. This is a tapas style menu with smaller dishes and the waitress was helpful in suggesting how many dishes to order. I was quite surprised at the speed of the food which arrived within minutes. We were initially told that the dishes would be staggered but everything came more or less at the same time. The food itself was very good; hot and tasty. There is a good variety available on the menu and everything seemed authentic. Desserts were lovely and I highly recommend the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk; a real treat. Our dessert was even personalized for our anniversary which was a lovely gesture. I found the restaurant good value for money and would definitely return when next in Ulverston. Thanks to all the staff at WSBI.
