Have been a few times for breakfast, it is always hot and freshly cooked and the staff are always friendly. Tried the carvery yesterday it was lovely 3 choices of meat, sausages, pie or fish.
Visited this evening for my birthday and wanted to give a 5* not to the pub or for the food but to the waitress sue, she was absolutely amazing tonight and definitely deserves the recognition. When we arrived it was set up ready for a few Xmas party's we ordered our drinks and got our meals before people started to arrive for the Xmas meals but once they started to arrive it turned into chaos nobody knew we're anybody was sitting but sue swiftly got everybody seated promptly and got starters on the tables,aswell as this she was constantly checking on all the other customers. Sue was totally run off her feet but was happy and jolly throughout our desserts came out wrong twice and she was totally appoligetic and couldn't do enough to put this right for us. You have one fantastic lady working for you and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves well done sue!
Staff where very pleasant & couldn't do enough for us. We had ordered a takeaway, but where having a drink prior which ended being longer than anticipated & over run our collection time considerably, but this was no problem at all. Great staff attitude & happy vibe which is what you would expect from a pub.
Came for a meal with my family on Friday evening 27/10/23 and even though it was late in the evening 8pm they were happy to accommodate us, we were greeted on arrival and shown to a table, after placing our order we only waited 15mins for our meals to arrive, this was a number of starters x3 fish and chip, burgers and pizza. Everything arrived hot and was very tasty. The chef came to the table himself to check that everything was to our satisfaction and our waitress couldn’t do enough to help us, our overall experience was very good will definitely be returning. We had a party of 10 booked, we all walked in and I told a gentleman at the bar we had booked. He basically said to sit wherever and it was abit disappointing that no where had been set for us, As we then had to move three tables together ourselves and it wasn't the vibe I was really going for to be rearranging furniture.
The food was really nice and the kids enjoy their pizza and chicken. Very reasonable price and we all had a good night.
Visited loads of times in the past and never disappointed. Ordered the Carvery Calzone and meat feast Calzone. Charlie the chef did an amazing job. They looked and tasted great packed with tasty fillings.
We had a lovely meal the carvery was really nice my family went for the pizza’s and they really enjoyed them as well. We finished off with deserts sundae’s, bottomless ice-cream and chocolate fudge cake which was all delicious.
Also thanks to John who baked our pizza’s, he got one of our pizzas wrong which wasn’t a problem at all my daughter was still happy to eat it but never the less he made her another pizza and popped it into a takeaway box to take home free of charge! Thanks John

Came for food as a family of 4 last minute on a Friday night and had not booked. Managed to get a table straight away, there seemed to be limited staff around but all of which were very pleasant and helpful. We ordered a starter and a side and 3 other meals.. the starter came out first without the mains (to be honest I didn’t specify for them to come together I just assumed) but they very quickly rectified it bringing the other mains and were apologetic, it didn’t effect us too much as the children were playing on the park very happy. When the food came it was very nice, good value for money and again the staff were great. Special mention to Claire who brought our food and drinks, she was so lovely and seemed to be running around helping everyone but never stopped smiling even though she was clearly very busy.
New local pub and it’s wonderful. Had a fantastic Sunday lunch last week and a cracking breakfast this morning. Food more than fairly priced! Thank you to Sharon and Lisa for being so accommodating and making us feel welcome. A true credit to your pub.

We went for a visit and I can honestly say we haven't been in years. Family wanted a carvery and we were in the area, so we pulled in here. The carpark was rammed is it a good sign or a bad one? But we decided to try our luck. We were greatest by Sharon who introduced herself, when we explained we hadn't booked - she did make us aware that they were super busy and that they're was a wait for food. (She gave us a heads up and that's all we could of asked for) she showed us to our table which was well lite, spacious although we were on a high rise table it was comfortable. We ordered our food and notices the carvery was very busy, so I joined the queue. The area was well managed always being restocked and the chef (although looked hot was lovely, cheerful and couldnt do enough for you) he realised I was gluten free and went to get me some GF Gravey for my dinner. The place was really busy but he made me feel like I was the only one in there (special) on how he dealt with me.
My husbands carvery calvone came and oh my days that looked amazing and our child had the dirty burger which again looked equally amazing. Although we were advised regarding a long wait, our food came within 10 mins, which I thought was excellent for how busy it was and a Sunday too.
We noticed for how busy the establishment was, the staff were organised, clearing tables for the next customers within minutes being seated. Everyone around us commented on how good the food was. The staff were amazing, friendly, above and beyond attitude and excellent value for money - we will be defo coming again! (As advised by the child, a cheeky mid week carvery)
