The Shalimar Restaurant

The food here is very good. I had the chicken jaflong with chilli fried rice and a mixed starter. The food was well cooked and came at a good portion. The service was excellent with the waiters always at hnd if you needed anything. There is no car park facility at the place but there are plenty of on street parking nearby. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy. Seems to have a bit of a refurb recently. Service was good.

Been here with a large group of people several times and it has always been excellent, unfortunately this time it was not. The food was amazing, you could not fault it. For a party of 14 everyone enjoyed the food and the kitchen did well to get it out, hot and all together. The service however was terrible, had to go and ask for drinks several times, a general attitude from the staff as if we were being an inconvenience being there. They had plenty of staff around, so this wasn't a question of being short handed.

We went Shalimar for our works celebrations last Friday. - The Restaurant is kept clean and tidy throughout - Staff are friendly and easy to talk to, very attentive. - Food was 10/10, exactly as you would expect from a place like this (Tip - If you are struggling on what to have, shout one of the waiters and ask them for their recommendations, they are always happy to assist). Me and the team all had a great night! Highly recommended and we will most definitely see you again very soon! 👍😁

Never had a bad meal here and this time was no different. We visited mid week for tea with a couple of friends. The service was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Completely covid safe so no issues there. Still the best popadums and chutney tray. It's the onions, I don't know what they do with them but I like them here more than anywhere else! All our dishes were very tasty. In all it's a comfortable and reliable place with good food and service at reasonable price. Definitely going to leave my comfort zone next time and order some new things.
