Found entirely on the off chance when we were looking for food one evening, and a very pleasant experience it was. Friendly staff, varied menu and good atmosphere. A couple of disappointing points loses them a star from top top scoring: not explaining on ordering when kitchen had run out of items from the menu; flabby “skinny fries” and bringing no sugar when coffees were ordered. Would happily go back again though

Sunday lunch at the bear bar Walked in was greeted by the friendly staff who took my drink order. I had kraken and Pepsi was served quick was not busy but soon filled up of people coming for there lunch. Was seated at my table even though I was under the speaker by choice the music wasn’t overly load and the music playing was relaxing needed on a wet day. The waitress took my order quickly. Once I was ready to order and handled my order and questions with gusto. Starter price £5.95 this to me is a good price for the taste and pleasure My starter filo prawns arrived fast. This was hot crispy so delicious would recommend. My starter was cleared with in minutes of finishing at this time the dinning area I’m in was almost full The main came took about 15 minutes. A reasonable time to get plates , prep and finishing cooking there was a sweet potato mash that wasn’t on the menu listing. A delightful surprise potato’s and veg was not much to go one but the meat was tender and juicy makes the meal something to have. I ordered the topside beef the ratio of meat to veg was great and the stuffing went well with the meat. This to was cleared fast and dessert order took soon after. Dining area now full. This cost £12.95 if wasn’t for the amount of meat and taste that saved the dish. Would be to much not saying the meal wasn’t ample this filled me up. Dessert raspberry cheesecake arrived quick. This looks marvelous. This was a firm cheese cake plain with a raspberry sauce. With a single scoop of vanilla ice cream what was nice some real good taste in this dish this cost £5.95 this I say is acceptable not a cheese cake person this was a good dessert. For the most not alt to complain about other then the table was quite wobbly this didn’t effect my experience. I also was charged two different prices for same drink

This place has been refurbished since we were last in Wadbridge. And i must say its a welcome change. Such a lovely atmosphere to eat and drink. The food is astounding with a good selection of vegetarian options. The staff are also friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend a visit to yhe Bear Pub if you are in Wadbridge.
